The portion size of chicken was very good; generous portion. Food tasted fresh and I would try this place again; would order again (something different). The sauce was sweet ....but the orange flavor was not present. This needs improvement to truly hit the mark of calling it No. 18. Orange Chicken. The egg roll inside of the styrofoam container, which came with the combo meal ....ended up being soggy, not crispy, because it was not packaged by itself, rather, it was included in the same styrofoam container as the meal itself. - Egg rolls should always be packaged separately so they stay crispy. This egg roll did not have a lot of flavor going on with it. Needs improvement. Overall the No. 18. Orange Chicken was tender and tasty. Just wasn't orange flavored; was honey flavored instead. No utensils included. The order should be secured better so no one can tamper with the food. It came in a plastic bag just tied off ....but not stapled."

"The rice wasn't cooked enough, I could handle it if it was a little underdone, but the grains were too hard to chew. I had higher hopes for the fish, tasted as if the seasoning was an after thought, and not sure if there was any salt in the blackened seasoning either. The size of the fillet was fine, and there was maybe a maximum of one tablespoon of rice. The shrimp was also fine, it tasted how shrimp typically tastes, but was even better when I got a piece with a bit of seasoning on it. I also ordered green beans as one of my sides, which only tasted like it came straight from a can, which would've been fine for me if there had been any flavor to it, I couldn't even taste the ham in it. I also got an order of 6 Hush Puppies which were delightful. I would recommend those. I would also recommend D's Dippin Sauce, I would buy that by the bottle. It's possible I may order again, just not the Grilled Whitefish and Shrimp Meal."

"the Shish Combo Platter - (Party) was tasty, but calling it a party platter, and implying it could feed more than 2 people max, is definitely misleading. my husband and I split it and it was just enough for 2, definitely not a "party" platter. half of the container was rice+side veggies. the Side of Rice half-filled a to-go container and platter came on more rice so there was plenty to share, and lots extra. we ordered a 6pc of the Fresh Hot Bread and received 12pcs, so that was a nice surprise!! overall it's definitely fresh and tasty, but it's quite expensive for what you receive. the Garlic Sauce is always delicious and fresh, too!!"

"I have been ordering from this cafe regularly for awhile now ever since the Starbucks boycott began, and I have to say, I don't think I'm ever going back to Starbucks. Birmingham Roast has made the best coffee I've had. My favorite are the Kuppa Joy Frappe and the Hot Kuppa Joy. I enjoy sweet coffees but have found most cafes "overdo" the sweet factor and make drinks sickly sweet or too much like a dessert. Birmingham Roast seems to have found the perfect balance between sweet and bitter. My dasher today forgot one of my drinks in an order earlier so when I reordered, the barista even added a note apologizing that my drink was forgotten! So so sweet. I hope this place stays open forever. "

"We LOVE this restaurant so much that we get food here at least once a week... however, there have been many times we've gotten it several times in a week though. I have loved everything I've ordered. The Curry Potato Stew is amazing! I wasn't raised with any spicy foods, and I'm kind of a baby when it comes to spice, but I can't get enough of it (this stew is at the top of my tolerance for spice, but my husband says it's perfect).
