"Even though this is the first time we have tried this restaurant, and even though we did not receive one of our items, this place receives 5 stars. The 1 lb de barbacoa and the 1 lb de Carnitas made perfect tacos, and I have now found the best 1/2 docena de tamales rojos in the US outsides of Los Angeles. That says a lot, considering we have also lived in El Paso, TX, the closest US city to a Mexican city. And the price is ENTIRELY AFFORDABLE. Far more affordable than anything in either LA or EP. I will be frequenting this establishment with my entire family! I even told my husband when we first tried the meats, "I have found my home." "

"There were more tomatoes in the al pastor burrito than al pastor. Also, the gordita looked identical to a pupusa because they barely put anything inside of it. The carnitas taco was nothing but a few cubed chunks of fat. Definitely not actual carnitas. I have ordered from here before and it was decent, but after this last order, never again. About half the meat was so tough it made chewing exhausting and I gave up. The remainder of the meat was gristle. The real shocker was that the onions were tough to the point that I thought I had bitten into plastic. How is it possible to make onions tough? The rice was good and the beans were delicious.
