Morning story

"Holy moly!!!! Just opening the box was impressive but when it comes to donuts I can be a harsh critic! Finding donuts in the central Oregon area has been a mission of mine since I moved here and had a variety of disappointing donuts. The donut was a 10 out of 10! Light and airy with excellent flavor and texture! It was cooked perfectly without any dense spots or pockets of oil and the thickness was perfect throughout and I was concerned it would be too thick. The Maple Bar frosting was a tad sweet for my preference possibly because the sugar wasn't completely dissolved leaving it a tad grainy, but not unpleasant or a big issue. I prefer more maple flavor in the glaze than this even with this criticism I would still give it a solid 7 out of 10 for the maple glaze and an 8/10 overall! The chocolate on the Chocolate Ring was done quite well and I am not a big fan of chocolate with sprinkles but I thought it was well balanced and good chocolate flavor in the glaze so I rate this as an 8/10 on the glaze/frosting and an 8.5/10 overall! I have not eaten the other ones I ordered yet but I am optimistic because they look picture perfect., by far the best looking donuts I have seen since visiting bakeries in NYC. As a native Oregonian I am happy to find some donuts that are somewhat reminiscent of the days of Dunkin' Donuts. Maybe someday I will be able to find the powdered sugar covered, chocolate/strawberry/cream cheese creme filled, the Lemmon filled, or the caramel donuts that Dunkin' use to make. Until then I think I found a very worthy replacement and equally tasty donut spot."
