The marble cake was wayyyyy too sweet. Maybe it's because it had white icing between the layers, but it was inedibly sweet.
The chocolate cake was loads better than the marble but very much nothing special. It wasn't too sweet but somehow didn't taste much like chocolate (or anything). It was just bland.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Vons cake I bought for my kid's birthday party was a lot better than this chocolate cake. (and 1000 times better than the marble cake)."
