"So I ordered the Whiting fish dinner. I got linguine yams as my side, and my girlfriend got yams and macaroni, as someone who eats soul food at least three times out of the week I can say I am disappointed the macaroni and cheese lacked flavor. It was a little dry the yams to me definitely taste like they came from the can as someone who owns a Soulfood restaurant. You should always be making homemade yams as far as the fish. It was fried nice but it also could've used a little bit more flavor, but they were nice size pieces of fish and the linguine was probably the best thing but I like mine a little bit more wet overall I would rated it a seven out of 10. It's definitely not one of the best things I had."

"The food is absolutely delicious, I ordered most of the sides on the menu, shout out to the person who cooked the pork chops (on the menu it says they are grilled but they are fried) and they were fried to perfection! (Just a bit salty) This restaurant would be a 10 out of 10 if they cooked with less salt and sugar, the greens were too spicy and salty for me but with the right amount they would have been perfect! The menu needs to cater to people on a low sodium /low sugar diet! Also the potato salad is delicious, it's just kind of watery but the taste is great! Everything was fresh! "We got 2 baked bbq chicken dinners. For sides, 1 buffalo mac & cheese, 1 reg mac & cheese, onion rings and green beans. ALL were delicious!! I couldn't believe that the onion rings were so crispy, and their breading was light and tasty!! I felt the value was excellent! In addition to 3 pieces of chix and 2 sides per dinner, each dinner came w about a 2" square of corn bread, which was good, and a drink. We ordered a piece of the chocolate cake for dessert. It was not the layer cake that was pictured, it was a bundt cake w chocolate frosting, and it came wrapped in saran wrap and the frosting was sticking to the wrap. That was all kind of disappointing. We're both full, so we haven't tried it yet. It does look moist and the frosting creamy, though, so I'm hopeful. We will definitely be ordering from here again!!"

I am also a sucker for Texas toast, it was buttered well and seemed like it had a hint of garlic. Overall I was pleased. It would be a five if the tenders were seasoned more."

It does still taste alright and has the added bonus of coming in a plastic container that is reusable. The Steamed Vegetables are what you'd expect, an assortment of vegetables steamed. They taste fine though pretty bland due to a lack of seasoning, they also came in a styrofoam container and wrapped in aluminum foil which was off putting. You can probably make use out of them via adding them to an at home stir fry or veggie medley of some sort. The Thai Iced Tea was very delicious.
