"I'm from Houston and think the best Banh Mi lives there along with a very large Vietnamese community. This is the ONLY banh mi place that compares, and it's the most authentic I've found in the TO. The others are mostly fusion, and I'm more OG Banh Mi. What makes a great Banh Mi is the homemade mayo and pickled carrots. If those are subpar, forget it! You also need a sprinkling of the Maggi seasoning sauce (similar to soy sauce, but NOT) to complete the OG masterpiece. "
