The portions are perfect, especially for one person (with leftovers..depending on your hunger level). You get pretty large portions depending on what you get. Freshness wise - everything is always hot and fresh and delicious. I would, will, and will always order from Steak 'n Shake again. I highly recommend the cheeseburger (no cheese, only tomato, mayo & pickle), with a cup of chili...& some of the new cheesey tater tots. The potato salad is super satisfying, the BLT + Avocado was perfect (+ the bacon was crispy) , & the Harvest Chicken Salad (contains pecans) is my new favorite sandwich. Everything was wrapped and protected, while still being eco conscious. The pickle spear they include with each sandwich was an awesome surprise (crunchy and dill-the perfect pickle). I had the chili yesterday and that was also incredibly delicious. Oh, and the Gallons To Go sweet tea is 10/10. DD prices are outrageous, but that is not the fault of the restaurant. I will add, you get a loooottttt for your money, so that makes up for the price issue. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough!!! P.s. Their food is extremelyyy addictive. You've been warned. "The Rage The Rage Burger and the Ragin' Rangoons were good, however the Shepherd's Pie and fries were kind of plain or bland. The Shepherd's Pie is the biggest concern because I was really looking forward to it. It just felt like i could easily recreate the same thing with simple potatoes, ground beef and frozen mixed vegetables. It is advertised as served with gravy. While there was a modest amount of thick mild flavored gravy on the bottom of the pan it was delivered in. I expected a bit more flavor and a bit wetter. I wanted for more savory, pepper and salt. What I can say positively about it is that it was filling at least. I am now wanting to make it myself soon and see how it turns out. The fries were literally just a filler."
