The portions are perfect, especially for one person (with leftovers..depending on your hunger level). You get pretty large portions depending on what you get. Freshness wise - everything is always hot and fresh and delicious. I would, will, and will always order from Steak 'n Shake again. I highly recommend the cheeseburger (no cheese, only tomato, mayo & pickle), with a cup of chili...& some of the new cheesey tater tots. It just felt like i could easily recreate the same thing with simple potatoes, ground beef and frozen mixed vegetables. It is advertised as served with gravy. While there was a modest amount of thick mild flavored gravy on the bottom of the pan it was delivered in. I expected a bit more flavor and a bit wetter. I wanted for more savory, pepper and salt. What I can say positively about it is that it was filling at least. I am now wanting to make it myself soon and see how it turns out. The fries were literally just a filler."
