"The taste and portion on the Escovitch Fish was fantastic! If you love fried fish, this is the dish you want. Spicy and savory! Pairs so well with the sweetness of the fried plantain and juicy butteriness of the cabbage. The rice and peas was less flavorful than usual, but hot and fresh. The Coco Bread was unfortunately not fresh and tasted freezer burned. Had it been fresh it would have made the meal perfect! 1 luv is one of the best Caribbean restaurants in the city and it is worth the wait everytime."

"I was really excited for this place. The Maracuya juice was delightful, brought back memories of drinking POG on a flight to Hawaii. The sauce that came with the Empanada Chicken was delicious, bright and just the right amountof spice and cilantro flavor. The Empanada Chicken was smaller than expected and even though the bread was delightfully fluffy and the filling flavorful, they were SO greasy that it turned my stomach with the first bite, and I had to pull off the breading and just eat the middle. The biggest problem was the rice. We ordered 6 steamed White Rice and like our rice plain. It was unbeliev salty! Totally inedible. Despite this id still like to give them anotwr try. The juice was amazing and the sauce delicious! Id liketo give them a try again for their yucca fries and chicha morada. "
