My other Jamaican spot that had a really good-sized snapper dinners for $34 (and their fish was really good) stopped serving fish altogether (maybe due to cost or supply chain issues?), but I had a hankering for escoveitch (and felt too lazy to make my own) so I decided to try HM's again. The peas and rice was good as always (and there was a lot of it), and the fish was cooked well but just ok flavor wise tho the pickle was tasty and worked when eaten together of course. But overall, in comparison, not a completely satisfying meal for me personally for the price once you factor in delivery and tip ($52). "Been wanting to come here since it opened. I pass by on the way to work at 6am and always see a younger owner cleaning and prepping to open the store. I respect that. I made an effort to get this for lunch today. It is good. My Chicken Katsu Bento came with mac salad, seaweed salad, and some pickled ginger. All were good and made with quality ingredients. Portion size is good. I can see most people getting full on one bento order. I also got a side of yakisoba. It is full of veggies and the sauce is not too sweet. Support this place. "This is stand out bbq in LA! The beef ribs, babyback ribs and hot links are juicy, flavo and delisious. The Mac and cheese is verygood and the corn is a little dry but good."

"Ordered from DD, spent $80. Called the store to ask that they include more than 1 tiny container of BBQ sauce for the half chicken (not even full chicken breast meat was sent), guy said yes! One mini sauce arrived. Corn bread was small, dry and cost $7.49 total rip. Corn on cob was ok but not worth $8.73 (plus taxes and tip and fees). We haven't ordered in awhile and we'll wait to eat there in person next time. Overall food was good but way dry and expensive."
