The Country Fried Steak itself, was good, but could have been better. The loaded hashbrown casserole, I think, was the only things I very much, enjoyed. It had good flavor and tasted really nicely done. But sadly, everything else was awful. The mashed potatoes, like I said, were dry, bland and honestly tasted old and not fresh at all. Ultimately, super disappointed. I used to really enjoy cracker barrel, but it seems the food quality isn't very good. For $20 a meal, I expected better. I couldn't really tolerate what I ate, and my father wasn't too thrilled with his, either. (We got the same thing, except he got a loaded baked potato instead of the hashbrown casserole) I do not recommend. "

It didn't use to be like this but from what I heard the owner changed it so they only put a few fries in the order. I would honestly have hated to see how many fries were in the smaller order if the large only had approx. 20 individual fries. I gave it a 3 because of this. Which sucks because I love their sandwiches. The French Dip Au Jus and the Turkey Panini are amazing. I have also had other items on the menu and they are good. The Sweet Potato Fries are great but just know you are eating fried gold sticks at the price per fry ratio haha. "
