"Fried chicken was delicious and crispy and juicy. The candied yams are out of this world good. The collard greens are good, not my favorite ive ever had but im also used to ones with hamhock and not turkey. I think since I ordered late they were out of biscuits but they replaced it with a side of mac and cheese (and extra chicken) which I am certainly not upset about lol. The mac and cheese was very yummy and felt almost decadent. The fried green tomatoes were amazing, not sure why they put all the toppings on it but it was pretty. The dip was bomb. Fried green tomatoes did get a little less crispy from being in the takeaway container but they were still tasty. Wish they had their koolaids to go also. Will definitely order from here again. "

"This was my second time ordering from Fixins'. This experience was almost as perfect at the first except in the 3 Piece Plate ,the 2 chicken breasts were fried too fast in oil that was too hot. The crust was overcooked and too dark vs golden brown.What should have been crunchy was this side of being burnt and the meat drier than expected. The chicken leg however was undercooked and as shown in the pic, still slightly bloody at the bone and drained into the box. To be safe I chose to microwave the trio for 2 mins before eating. The sides: double Collard Greens and double Potato Salad were EXCELLENT as before. I think next go around I'll go with a Veggie plate instead. To their credit, the portions are ample and filling. I had leftovers both times"

I have had their chicken twice before this order, once it was so tough bc the skin was over cooked making it hard/chewy and took away from the flavor/crispiness of the chicken. The second time I had it, was recently when my friend brought some over to try and let me know that it's at a gas station at 11/Bunert. The chicken was still crispy but more juicy. Very good. And the honey biscuits are simply amazing. They do get bit crumbly but who cares. I gave 2 stars because 2/3 times the food wasn't great. The first order was a diff location than the last two. But for purposes of this review, I gave two stars bc the chicken was skin was so overdone and the potatoes were not really edible. I tried but they were soupy and the flavor was deluted. When it's good it really is good."
