"I'm confused by someone else complaining about "super sticky rice" in the sushi rolls. Sticky rice is a necessity for good sushi - it helps the sushi not fall apart when you pick it up. Joy Sushi's sushi rice is *excellent*, whether it's in a roll or in a poke bowl as a base - even the brown sushi rice! It's both flavorful and satisfyingly sticky. All of my family members (parents, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces) love Joy Sushi. In particular, we love the Poke Bowls. With a myriad of options to customize your own Poke Bowls and no shortage of ingredients provided, the Poke Bowls are excellent value for the money. My go-to: half-half mixed greens/sushi rice base, albacore + salmon for protein, all of the toppings (except onions + green onions), white sauce, add tamago. (Their white sauce is SO GOOD.) 1 Poke Bowl usually makes for 2 generous meals! I also love their rolls. The Shrimp Tempura Roll deal on DD is super worth it. I also love the Lion King and Sun Shine Rolls. The menu is diverse and has options for a wide variety of tastes. Highly recommend! One of my fav San Mateo and DoorDash spots."

"We ordered the chicken kebab plate, and the chicken tasted both spoiled and undercooked not to mention poorly seasoned. Chicken portion was small . Salad was filled with iceberg lettuce. "not the biggest fan of egg so i had the niku udon without the ontama, but the broth and noodle quality is always excellent! the meat and caramelized onions give it an even deeper flavor that makes me want more even though by the time i finish it im extremely full. as always, noodles should be broken apart in the broth before adding the toppings (that are graciously separated in a very convenient container) and it'll be as though its freshly served at a restaurant! will continue ordering here again. (i also like their curry rice bowl, the mini udon it comes with is just as flavorful as the full version!)"

"I consider myself a pizza connoisseur of sorts and very picky. I'm Puerto Rican and Mexican and serious about flavor. I don't say this lightly, but this Pepperoni Pizza is surprisingly the best I've had in a while! The flavors are immaculate! I ordered the heart shaped one, along with 2 Samosa (Potato) which were very tasty, and the Desi Garlic Sticks without green chilies because the spice was too much the last time I ordered them. The Desi garlic sticks came with a pesto dipping sauce, and together both were absolutely fantastic! The ranch is Ken's, which isn't my favorite but with everything else having so much good flavor it just seems to work. Fresh, hot, crispy and packed with flavor! I found my new favorite pizza spot! I will be ordering again. I love that they offer the heart shaped pizza when most places stop after Valentines. I highly recommend the pizza and desi sticks."
