"I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. It is hands down the best mexican fast food in the valley. Like by far. My Surf & Turf Burrito was GIGANTIC and it wasn't soaked and dripping with grease. The texture of every ingredient was distinct and the tortilla was crispy. Best1/2 Pt beans in town. I am obsessed!"
"Hands down some of the best food in SLC. I have eaten more Beans & cheese burrito. than I can count and it is perfect every time. Best refried beans I've ever had period. The Al pastor is flavorful and tender, and all the veggies are fresh cut. The 4 Street Tacos deal is such a great value and very filling, plus you can mix and match your protein choices. Order the Red Tomatillo Sauce and get extra, it is hot and tasty, and satisfied this native Texan tongue. Again, the best I have found in Utah. Thank you for the delicious food, I can't wait to try more!"

"I will always like their flavors but for the price they're charging you're getting less and less food each time you order. We had at least half of the chips left with the amount of tiny queso that was included. And a salad should be lettuce. There was very little lettuce rice and beans in the salad. For $15 I would've expected more"
"My salad was delicious. I don't get costa vida often, but I sure will now. The fancy raspberry chicken is awesome!! The salad had great portions of everything. My additions/subtractions were followed and I'm just so happy with this meal overall. Thank you!! "

"Everything we ordered from here was excellent. I say that coming from Chicago,IL. Their eclectic twist on mexican food is nothing short of delicious. The price is on the higher side but I will gladly pay that because of the fresh, healthy ingredients. Fresh Fish Of The Day was my 2nd fav. Grilled Portobello was my absolute fav. Highly recommend this place! "
"The food was ok. What I'm giving the bad review for is the price. The portions were so small. Disappointing. I had the shrimp tacos and the street corn. $9 for corn. I was expecting a generous portion. The amount was extremely small for the price. "

"This place is our FAVORITE!! Hands down, the best tacos. The quality of their food is always excellent. Everything is super fresh, the portions are generous, and they have lots of choices. Our regular orders include their shrimp, al pastor and chicken tacos, their chili and cheese tamales (they come with a yummy flavored crema and a bit of pork chili verde), and their incredible queso and fresh guacamole. Another go-to is their salad, especially with salmon. It's perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the salad has a ton of yummy ingredients. And if that wasn't enough - their variety of salsas are delicious. The Real Salsa could be out in a big gulp cup and drank through a straw, it's so damn good. And the roja salsa?? It's ridiculously good! First of all, it's actually spicey (and this is people who order five stars at Thai and Indian restaurants) aaaaand the flavor is amazing!! Usually you get spice or flavor, but this salsa has both. We buy it buy the jar and put it on eggs, potatoes, chicken, vegetables - you name it, it goes on almost everything in this house. To top it off, the folks that work there are always so friendly and kind, and so if you go in for pickup or go through the drive thru, you'll get to experience some of the best service around. <3"
"Portions are big and flavors are delicious! We love the Mole (sweet & spicy) and Enchiladas (sweet & spicy) sauce. You can't go wrong with black or pinto beans.
Not sure if it would be more cost efficient and/or environmentally friendly to wrap the to-go boxes in plastic wrap instead of placing it in a paper bag, but it would be great if they could figure out a way to package it to avoid contents spilling out as soon as you open the bag.
More of a hopeful suggestion and not meant as a distraction to the amazing food and appreciation of the portions for the price! "

"#14 was amazing, the outside had a little crunch and the inside was FULL of meat. the flavor was on the point. the thing that stood out is I am allergic to gauc so I put no gauc and when my food came there was actually no gauc. they listened and actually came through"
"The COMBO BURRITO (steak, ham, bacon, eggs, potatoes, and cheese) was delicious! I will definitely be ordering it again!
There used to be lots of places that did breakfast burritos like this, but they started shrinking their portions and the potatoes tasted like they were microwaved. Not here!
The potatoes tasted fresh and weren't grainy, there were good portions of all the meats, and the burrito was big for what you pay.
I love their red and green hot sauces. They've got a little kick, but they don't leave my mouth on fire."

"Excellent food. Excellent pulled pork , not tossed for big orders, they will give you sauce. Sauces are very good, spicy and original. Cole slaw was good and just fine, nothing fancy. You know how when you get mash potatoes from any restaurant and they are god awful? These are like grandmas. Chunks of potatoe. Smooth in parts. Really well done. The rolls were very good too. This was a bunch of food for five adults. You could probably do 7 or 8 people. "
"I’ve ordered from R&R BBQ several times and always enjoyed the food, but this time was very disappointing. The meat looked like leftovers—two large, thick pieces that were mostly fat, dry, and lacked flavor. The only thing I ate was a piece of chicken. For the price, I expected much better quality and freshness. Definitely not the R&R BBQ I’m used to."

"We ordered 2 orders of the big mouth Big Mouth® Bites and the Skillet Queso. It was all fresh and tasted great! Our only complaint would be the Skillet Queso, the container wasn't even 1/2 full. So disappointing! It wasn't cheap and I would expect it to be at least half to 3/4 full. The salsa and chips were delicious! "
"Chili's is just not very good anymore. I order the Cajun Pasta and there were maybe 1/2 a cup of noodle smashed down on the bottom of the container and one piece of chicken. I do not believe that there were any diced tomatoes. My husband ordered the Mix & Match Fajitas and no, just no. It was an expensive meal that went in the garbage. "

"4.5 stars - BIRRIA TACO and QUESABIRRIA was amazing! Portions are LARGE with lots of meat. I wish I added extra onions and cilantro since there was so much meat. BACON B BURRITO was good, but there were some old bacon pieces in it that didn't taste fresh. Burritos are huge. They gave extra hot sauce and green sauce. "Seriously 2 little bites of meat in the entire Enchilada Style Burrito . The rest was beans and rice. Such a rip-off. The chicken in the Quesadilla was literally charred and burnt. It was super expensive and not good."

"By far my favorite place for Mexican food. Everything is so bomb. I ordered Quesa-Tacos Order of 4 (2 chicken, 1 asada, and 1 pastor). The meats were tender, moist, and flavorful. The Arroz con Frijoles is so tasty. This place is my go-to. The portions are enough for dinner and tomorrow's lunch."

"first time in a long time I've been disappointed by a mexican restaurant. Tortas was not as advertised just a bland sandwich with shredded beef not steak. "The Bacon & Eggs, as seen in the attached photo, is gargantuan. I could not hold it with one hand. In fact, my husband and I mixed ours up at first, so he went through the first three bites or so, while I was more baffled with the task of handling mine. When I realized the mistake (after having surgically preyed it out of the foil), we swapped back and I was already full. But I ate almost half anyway haha. Perfect amount of sour cream and guacamole, that they included upon optional selections that are frequently overlooked. They're always fresh and completed in a reasonable, if not short amount of time. Their burritos are always large enough to have for several meals. The extra charges for the small hot sauce ramekins is overshadowed by the previous qualities "
"Green sauce is better than the red, Beans & Cheese burrito is delightful. Added rice this time and it is a huge portion! Very tasty and obviously a big fan of the "buy 1 get 1" deal! Thank you for breakfast!"

"Tastiest Chorizo Breakfast Burrito I've had; it tasted homemade. The chorizo was authentic. I've had chorizo burritos at other places but Alberto's Chorizo Breakfast Burrito was Legit! Yum. Their bean & cheese burrito is just as good. "
"Let me say, Alberto's downtown is the tastiest late night Taqueria-style spot in SLC Valley! Alberto's is noticeably fresher and more flavorful than Betos or Rancheritos. I ordered the #11 Chile Verde plate and a Steak Breakfast Burrito. Muy Bueno!! so good!
They're a bit far from South Valley but they've got a long reach for delivery, and the food was just as smokin hot when it arrived had it come from just down the street.
The packaging when it arrived was very impressive. I love the brown paper bag, with the protective seal gluing the two sides together for protection! Very cool. No more staples or scotch tape. It took a bit of muscle to tear the top part of the bag open, but I loved that knowing there was no way anyone was inside that bag before it left the restaurant and it arrived on my doorstep.
Great job Alberto's!! you got yourself a new loyal fan!"

"We love La Fountain! Their food is consistently delicious. The Chips (to Go) and Pint of Hot Sauce are always part of our order!
The thing I really love is how good they are at packaging their to-go food! We regularly order the Large Combination Platter, and I love how they put the crunchy taco and tostada in a separate container from everything else, so they're still crunchy by the time the delivery gets to us. Most other places with similar menus do not do that, and it's one of the little details (in addition to the food) that keeps us coming back to La Fountain! "
"I spent $54 on 2 enchiladas with rice and beans and a large combination plate plus fries and the food was horrible. Everything in the combo plate was beans no meat and maybe 3 baby pieces of pork in the burrito.

"Don't sleep on Gordo's! First, the Taco Chicken meat was SO FLAVORFUL. you know how some places the chicken is bland? It's SO delicious here. The Shrimp Vampiro was also really delicious! The guacamole sauce they add is super good, and the shrimps are big, seasoned well, and not overcooked. Had the Birria Ramen again and it was fire as usual. I like extra broth so I added a little boiling water from the kettle to it and the flavor was still super rich, and the meat is great - no big fat chunks or anything that you sometimes get with birria. Everything was packed nicely and hot. Like I said, don't sleep on this one. Also the orange salsa is hot af but if you add it to your ramen, it mellows a bit and you can taste its delicious complexity."
"I honestly can’t say enough positives about the food at Gordo’s! It’s sooooo good!
The quality is always on point. The meat is always fresh and flavorful. Every time I’ve dined in, I’ve been so happy with what I’ve gotten. I love the carnitas, carne asada, and birria tacos. The carne asada fries are great.
Just ordered delivery and the tacos and carne asada burrito were perfect. My only qualm is that they put too much guac on their items, but requesting it on the side for dipping is perfect for me.

"We have never had food as bad as this last time. Previously it has been fine, middle of the road food. This time however was far from middle of the road, even siding on downright terrible.
The queso fundido was a congealed ball of cheese with juice and mystery meat. The refried beans were oddly wet. The crab tasted borderline chemical.

"The fries smothered in Green Chile Pork Fries are so good and such a big order...hope they're just as re-heated. I added green sauce to my rice, but both rice and beans were good without it. One Quesadilla (w/ Meat) with Chips w/ Guacamole & Cheese (Mild Cheddar & Monterey Jack) -awesome presentation, delicious and generous portion. Five Supreme Rolled Tacos are crunchy, but still soft to chew and were covered in toppings - all drinks were good. Will order from here again."

"So perfect. Absolutely delicious. All of the meat was very, very tender very well seasoned. The rice and beans were perfect. Mix. Chips were fresh, which is very unusual especially when you get a DoorDash order. The only thing I would say would be I would have needed extra limes for all these tacos."

"Carne Asada Fries burrito is delicious and a great bang for yr buck - it's giant! One burrito is 2 meals for me - Not too greasy, superb quality steak, cooked so t's not overdone or tough at all - and very good quality soft tortilla bread that tastes like home made from scratch. I like extra onions and the cooks are always kind enuff to grill the onions to make them sweeter. Beto's is a favorite and I get burritos from them often."

"My new go to spot for Carne Asada/ Steak Fries . They have pretty comparable sizes to most other places but the meat here is really what stands out, it's actually marinated and seasoned, which puts it above most other similar restaurants. Plus, having a Coca Mex on the side is a great pairing 👍🏻"
"They always do an amazing job, packaging, price, taste, everything! These guys have the best value for your money versus what you pay, very good portion sizes. I like my pozole SPICY and this is just the right amount of spicy without being overboard, and the taste really shows their work and fresh ingredients, they aren't stingy with the meat either like I've seen at some other places where you get 70% broth and barely anything else, there is lots of meat and hominy. They are my go to and so when pozole was unavailable for a short time I was so bummed, but it's back and I've been using every excuse to order it constantly!"

"Only got 1 instead of 2 Chile Relleno, no napkins or utensils. Fried Ice Cream was ok, could have used caramel or chocolate sauce and whipped cream. "The tacos al pastor are insanely good! You get 3 loaded with succelent marinated pork. I keep trying different menu items and Julia's never disappoints. The sopes are good if you want something a little unique, at least they were to me. The portions are generous and the prices are extremely fair. The food is always peak freshness. This is what true Mexican food should be. "
"I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid and I love it till this day. I always get this chicken soup whenever I get sick and let me tell you it's the healthiest soup I've had. Highly recommended!"
"First time trying Bandits and I'm so glad I did!! I got the Tri tip steak with Mac n cheese and asparagus... it was SOOOO delish! I always am weary of ordering steak to go, but this was the best Tri tip steak I've ever had! It's was tender, juicy, and full of the best perfect flavor! Mac n cheese was almost as good and asparagus was grilled perfectly!! Prices are actually really reasonable for steak, because (especially on DoorDash) can get super spendy! "Best place for mexican food in utah! Finally found a place that is as good as the southern California mexican food scene in utah. None of this let's add a gringo twist to it or dull down the heat and flavoring for the bland taste buds of utah born people. The food is always fresh and have never had a bad experience with the food. Top picks are the tacos with green hot sauce, the soup and the Quesabirrias"

"The Double Tap tacos were big but a little more oily than I expected. I really enjoyed the twist on traditional tacos though. The Gringo seemed to be missing some of the toppings listed but it was still good. Really liked the Fleeing Californian. I got the chips and queso as the side.
