I come from an arabic family and we have had a tradition of the cooking on Sunday's. I ordered the Zinger because I couldn't tell what it was from the doordash pictures. "We tried a little bit everything. The only things that were pretty good surprisingly, were the Chicken Shawarma and the Baba Ganoush. The tzatziki had too much lemon juice it was so tangy, hard to eat. The hummus was not that good, just very bland needed more flavor. The lamb gyro was one of worst we have ever had, very salty and thick chunks. The beef shawarma was weird, the seasoning on it was overpowering, not good. Both of these had these slightly cooked big chunks of white onion which really were gross. Usually places give thin sliced red onion raw. The pitas were small but did have good flavor. One side however was thin and over cooked hard like a chip and the other was soft. The chicken shawarma was actually really good with the pink sauce, the only thing we enjoyed. Tender, good flavor, not dry like I read in so many other reviews. The baba ganoush had a nice smokey flavor but a bit heavy on the lemon juice just like the tzatziki. So overall I would not order from this place again or recommend them unless I was only craving a chicken shawarma for some reason. Very surprised because they have a lot of locations and some good reviews but a lot of people out here who havent tried the best places across the states are easily impressed and give 5 stars for mediocrity it seems. So far we have tried almost every Mediterranean place in Houston except one and the best is still Cafe Petras, but still nothing out here compares to other states and cities across the country. Greek/Mediterranean is definitely a weak spot cuisine in Houston."

"A friend and I ordered the Gyro plate with fattoush, vermicelli rice, and spicy hummus. We ordered a rose water, rice pudding, and baklava for dessert, and shared everything. We have about half of everything leftover and are super full, and loved everything we got. The hummus, gyro, and pistachio rice pudding. Absolutely incredible :)"

"This is my favorite place ever. I pick up lunch from here almost weekly, and sitting down for their all-you-can-eat is amazing too. This is by far the best Dimassi's location in the entire Houston area. Food is always hot, deliciously spiced, and prices are great. I am so sad to be moving away, I will miss this place so much, their hummus selection is amazing (spicy hummus!!!) and I usually love to order the Chicken Kabob Plate for pickup. "Fresh, delicious and generous sized portions. Plates come with ALOT of rice so if you're looking for more protein consider sharing a plate and adding more kabobs on the side. Super garlicky (but delicious) hummus, loved the side of herbs - basil, parsley and onions added a nice punch to add dishes ordered. Persian sesame bread was HUGE! 4 large pieces so FYI should you order that. We don't live in Houston but if we did we would definitely come back!!"

"We were staying in the Medical Center Marriott in Houston while my Mom was a patient at St. Luke's. Tired of fast food/hospital food AND it was our anniversary - I door dashed Local Foods having heard of them. First thoughts: bag seemed small Second thoughts: look at these interesting sides Third Thoughts: These sandwiches are humongous, and full. Fourth thoughts: who came up with these scrumptious very unique recipes - so very flavorful! Fifth thoughts: The chicken Crunch and the Seafood Sandwich are in a category of their own. Potato salad is a flavor blend new to me. Strawberries with basil - just do it! We could have driven anywhere in the area and eaten any meal we desired. But we were exhausted, been in the medical center for a week, and so very much enjoyed every last bite of this meal delivery. Thank you Local Foods! We will drive South to visit again. "

"The Build Your Own Salad was very delicious. Everything is fresh. The only issue I had was that the portion seemed much smaller than the last time I ordered. With tip, the salad costs 30 dollars, and the small-ish to-go container was not full. Last time the container was full of the salad mix, which imo doesn't cost a lot to fill the container with. Other than that concern, wonderful salad."
