"The pasta tasted like mushroom-flavored water, completely bland, and some of the pasta were slightly undercooked. The pizza wasn’t any better, it was so dry it barely tasted like it had any sauce. The only redeeming factor was the packaging, which was nice, but unfortunately, it couldn’t make up for the lackluster food. "Half price two for one soft tortilla tacos. only just worth the price at half price. Beef tacos were disappointing, half empty, flavorless, canned corn kernels, Pork ones were actually a little fuller but the pork wasn't great pulled pork- again a little flavourless. Fried Chicken Taco was the star. this taco I would be happy buying again. Thick, crunchy, juicy, flavoursome, loads of other ingredients, great sauce, full tacos. Such a shame. pulled meats aren't hard to do, very easy to make full of flavour. I was a chef for 20+ yrs, I've cooked many pulled meats, briskets, ribs, pork belly. Actually the tortillas themselves were pretty average as well. Chewy, undercooked. There are many quality freshly made tortillas available locally right now. If this isn't improved fast I don't see this place surviving for long."

"Wow, really impressed! Honestly the best chicken I have ever tasted. So succulent. Mouth watering. I will be ordering again. My salad came with Guacamole too which was nice surprise. The salad is delicious with very fresh ingredients & the toasted pumpkin seeds are perfect in this dish for a crunchy bite. The pineapple brings a fresh & sweet touch. Portion size is generous & the dressing is zesty & mixed with the chicken it is sensational. I hadn't ordered from Village Cantina for years but I will be ordering from here again. The salad gets quite juicy so if you were looking for something to soak up the delicious juices to go with it perhaps order some Mexican red rice to go with it. I found the prawn taco to be cold & with a bitter taste honestly, perhaps a bit over-charcoaled. I do liked how it came with a wedge of lime though & I think it would be nicer with guacamole. Overall happy with my purchase thank you very much. I recommend trying."
