"Most appetizers aren't worth the value. Order the Botana Grande and you'll quickly discover that. The nachos and quesadilla were soggy and the cheese re-congealed. So, in the future, skip those.
Both the taquitos (chicken and beef) were good. The filling was generous.
But, the star of the Botana Grande was the wings. Fried to perfection, retained the flavor of chicken and not the oil it was fried in. Super plus.
I also have had the bean dip and queso dips. These and the chips used as a delivery device were well seasoned.
Now, the show stopper and perhaps hidden gem - the tamales! Again, generous fillings, creamy, firm masa, rich sauce. Spiced just right with a warming heat and you won't even notice that you're nose might start to drip a little toward the end of the second one. Solution, only eat one. Oh, who am I kidding? Eat them both and use your handkerchief."

"I am a person that loves soup, so I figured I'd try out the soupery. I will say, the Chicken, Veggie, & Rice was very flavorful and one of the best "chicken noodle" type soups I've had. I must admit, I was a little let down by the Cajun Sweet Potato & Chicken - not bad, but I didn't think enough of the seasonings came through, a little overpowered by the sweet potato of it all. My only complain is the confusion around what comes with a meal. The meal came with rice but I couldn't find that info anywhere. I'm glad it came with rice but not knowing it came with rice, I ordered "more" rice. Just like I didn't know the veggie samosas came with tamarind chutney so I ordered tamarind chutney. Again, I'm glad it came with because the last place I ordered samosas they didn't even have tamarind chutney. So anyway, I ordered some and didn't need to.
There was some kind of soup in my order. Maybe it was a free gift, I'm not sure. Maybe it's a sauce that's supposed to go something, I'm not sure. I haven't tried it yet but I have no doubt it's great.
