" With it being a cold night, I decided to order gumbo off of DoorDash, the hype has been surrounding Pujo Street Cafe, known apparently for the “ best gumbo in town” known for being rich and flavorful with a very dark roux. The potato salad is not included with the gumbo, you have to order the potato salad as a side, the potato salad is priced at $4.50. (Keep in mind every restaurant in town includes the potato salad with the gumbo order). When I received the order, I noticed that the rice cups were missing from the order, that was until I opened the lid on the cup of gumbo, and to my surprise, the rice was already in the gumbo! Whoever is in charge in the kitchen at Pujo Street Cafe obviously has no clue what they are doing here, under no circumstances are you to ever serve the rice already in the gumbo much less, serve the rice already in the gumbo to-go! Especially with a delivery driver, waiting for the order, the rice sits in the gumbo for an extended amount of time, sometimes soaking up with the juices. I guess it hurts Pujo St Cafe to order extra cups for the rice. As for the gumbo itself, the temperature was warm, yes it’s a dark room, but it is definitely rich and flavorful, no seasoning needed however, the gumbo is extremely thick, my personal opinion the rice did soak up majority of the of the gumbo. Also there was barely any chicken in the “chicken and sausage gumbo”. Not sure if I’ll be ordering the gumbo from Pujo Street again. I think they need to rethink the whole serving the rice in the gumbo formula, AND charging $4.50 for a side of potato salad because this is not how you do it. "

Greasy with TONS of veggie filler (onions, red and green bell peppers). They need to disclose that in the product description. They put green ruffage/sprouts/cilantro and radishes ON EVERYTHING except the Queso and Quesadilla (Ground Beef or Chicken). The Carne Asada was cooked perfectly. My husband loved that, the corn tortillas that came with it and the "smoky" red salsa. The California burrito is a big portion of food. It too came w/ sliced radishes and "leafs" my kid was able to pick off. The Flauta Flight was good even if the chicken flauta was kinda dry. The Tripo Dip and Queso are yummy. Would've been better if the (3) little bags of chips sent w/ them weren't ALL stale. Even the chips in the Nachos were stale. TBH - I think we'll just stick w/ Nogal. It's cheaper and the food doesn't disappoint. Might try this place again but eat at the restaurant."
