"I'm a HUGE Philly Cheesesteak fan and I have tried cheesesteaks from every restaurant around here that sells them. I'm always disappointed when I get them from other places and end up making them myself. BUT...The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich's they make are better than anywhere else in the Austin/CedarPark/Leander area. I love that they give you the option to customize your sandwich anyway you like it and if you have any questions you can call them up and they will clarify any confusion or concerns. The sandwich are always juicy, and full of flavor. One thing I have noticed about EVERY cheesesteak sandwich I have ever ordered is they aren't heavily seasoned, if seasoned at all. You can add salt and pepper as an option ON the sandwich or get it OTS if you want it. I'm a salty girl, and I'd rather add seasonings myself after I get it rather than ask for it on the sandwich and then not have enough or too much. I use Lawry's Season salt or Hooter's season salt (which has black pepper in it) to the 1/2" slices after I get the sandwich. I also order my sandwich with extra meat and extra cheese when I order it, and the large sandwich takes me several meals to finish it as I can't eat more than 3 slices at one time, and wrap up tight and don't cut up the entire sandwich all at once so I don't risk drying the sandwich out but cutting it all up at once, and I seal in a ziplock bag to preserve the soft bread. If you order a PhillyCheesesteak sandwich from anywhere else you will NOT find anything close to how good this one is. The photos are try to show how big the sand is compared to the largest knife I have, and also to show you what extra meat/extra cheese looks like. I have never ordered the sandwich regular without extra meat/extra cheese so I don't have any pics of what the sandwich looks like without extra meat/extra cheese, but goodness, why wouldn't you want more of this beefy, cheesy goodness on your sandwich? The Pot Roast was tender & juicy, the mashed potatoes were creamy with chunks something (seemed like pieces of roast,) and the glazed carrots were sweet and perfectly cooked. The Macaroni & Cheese tasted great, but was a little thick & difficult to stir for my preference. "A bit indulgent for a meal for one but my steak was seasoned and cooked to perfect. I am in the process of moving so also got a gallon of tea (My pitchers are packed. In fact, my glasses are packed.) The tea comes bagged with a spout. Perfect for refills in the August heat. I admit, I splurged on a bread pudding. I LOVE bread pudding and it easily serves 4 people so I have been enjoying a slice throughout the day today. Good food every time. I trust Salt Grass to make a steak the way a steak should be made. Thanks for a great meal when I needed something healthy (steak and salad) but treating me with that tender sweet potato and scrumptious bread pudding."

"The New York strip was pink all the way through even though I ordered it well done… The fries were way overcooked, freezing cold, and packaged in the buttery steak box so they were also soggy and slimy. They went right in the trash. Salad was subpar, but at least it wasn’t disgusting."

I think they made it too early or waited to send with a group of items. Keeping the food warm is my only complaint. It was still very tasty, and we would try again. "
