"I hate to give them a bad review because Oriental Palace is usually dependable and it's owned and operated by a nice family. Tonight Able left the food outside my door without knocking. The food sat out there as I waited patiently inside. The sweet and sour pork was inedible -- - I couldn't eat it beyond two pieces. It tasted like it was cooked in old oil and almost every piece was burnt. In truth, whenever I order through DoorDash or GrubHub, literally, it's never a good experience. If I call up and ask for delivery, I usually get five star service. That's going to be the route I have to take. I'm going to blame DoorDash because I don't want to blame oriental palace, but I'm still giving them three stars for this two star meal."

Bad: The 16" Pie Fig & Prosciutto was overly dense, overly sweet and had diced dry figs. The prosciutto and the arugula on it was ok. Ugly: Fried Seafood Platter. For $35 you get one piece of chicken nugget sized salmon, one chicken nugget sized piece of cod, four " jumbo" shrimp that were large at best and 2 scallops. All served with plenty of fries. Wasn't horrible tasting, but left me feeling like I was robbed. If it was served without fries, it it would barely be app sized. Our second attempt more than 1 year apart. "Greek Village has been one of my favorite casual restaurants locally over the past 30+ years, and justifiably so; they've honestly set the bar so extremely high, it's the gold standard in Greek cuisine to me. You simply can't go wrong with their Beef Souvlakia, or any other one of their souvlakis or gyros. The proteins are seasoned and/or marinated extremely well, and usually cooked to perfection. Couple this with a fresh pita, fresh vegetables (tomato, lettuce, and red onion) and their homemade tzatziki sauce (made with yogurt, cucumber, and fresh garlic) and you have a very filling, delicious, and affordable meal. The Grilled Chicken sandwich was served on a toasted buttered garlic hard roll, and it came with pickle slices, coleslaw, and the mayo in separate containers on the side, which prevented the sandwich from becoming soggy or having those flavors all blending together unnecessarily (I think pickles on chicken is blasphemous.) Lastly, their Egg Creams are on point!"
