The guava didn’t taste right—it may have been expired or canned. This was disappointing, especially considering the Cuban roots of the restaurant and the importance of guava pastelitos in Cuban culture. I didn’t try the alfajor because I’d already lost my appetite. We all work hard to enjoy the luxury of dining out, especially during a time of economic growth and progress. It’s disappointing when the quality doesn’t match the expectations. the coffee was okay, tasted like your average pilon cafe con lache and some ice.
