"OMG best chicken sandwich I've ever had!! huge chicken breast cooked perfectly. Hot Chicken MikeWich with mild sauce is a large sandwich and I barely ate it all but it was too yummy to waste. the mild sauce was only a little spicy like a buffalo sauce. So the description is accurate. the creamy slaw added the perfect contrast of flavor. pickles were still crispy. the mac and cheese I got on the side I saved for later. it was a perfect side size, delicious and creamy white sauce on cavatappi type noodles. I highly recommend and will definitely be trying other sauces and items."

"I will start by saying that I'm giving this restaurant the benefit of the doubt as today was the first day that they were open. That being said, I did have a couple of "concerns" with my order. I ordered a Mike's Crispy Chicken combo which comes with fries and a drink. When the order arrived, the drink wasn't filled to the top. That usually wouldn't be a "concern", but the drink began at about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches below the top of the cup. There was a lot of drink missing. There also wasn't ice at all in the drink. I usually ask for "no ice" as no ice equals more drink. However, I didn't ask for "no ice". It just came without it. On top of that, the drink was warm when I received it. I only live 10 minutes away from this restaurant, so even with there not being ice in the drink, it still should have been cold when I received it, but it wasn't. It was warmer than room–temperature. The soda was also flat. My next "concern" was the chicken itself. My sandwich was slightly over–done. It wasn't super dry, but it wasn't really moist and juicy, either. It wasn't over–done to the point where it was dry and tough. However, it was over–done to the point where the chicken wasn't really tender, and the chicken started to get "strandy/stringy". I also have to mention that the breading on the sandwich had no flavor at all. The first thing I did when I got my food was take a piece of just the chicken to try on its own with no sauce, and there was no flavor to it. The breading had no taste to it at all. All of the flavor on the chicken sandwich came from the sauce on it. I had assumed (which I shouldn't have) that this restaurant would be similar to Dave's Hot Chicken where the breading itself has all the flavor and heat. That is not the case with Mike's Hot Chicken. MHC seems to be chicken with flavorless breading that, fortunately, has very flavorful sauce. All of that being said, the sauce, and the fact that beef tallow is used, is what really made the sandwich. The sauce had so much flavor to it that it didn't technically matter that the breading itself had no flavor at all. Also, the chicken being fried in the beef tallow made the breading so crispy and crunchy, which I loved!! The fries were good as well. They were cold when they arrived, but they were good. I also loved that they had a crisp crunch to them. The sandwich and the fries were considerably less greasy than they would have been if you were to order a chicken sandwich and fries from another restaurant. I didn't have that "sick" feeling that one would usually get after having food that is typically considered "greasy". Beef tallow for the win!! Everything tasted fresh. Even though there were some issues/"concerns" (not a full drink/no ice/warm/flat drink, flavorless breading, cold fries), I would still give this restaurant another try, maybe after they've been open for a while to see if any improvements are made."
