"The Birria Tacos were basically just tortillas with a bunch of cilantro and onions. To make it worse, everything was extremely dry like it had been sitting out for hours before being sent to me. The Quesadilla Beef or Chicken is advertised as the meat and cheese but is delivered with a some vegetables as well. The only thing that was good was the refried beans and the Mexican rice. I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

There's nothing I look forward to more (especially on rough day) than a to-go order of El Metate. It's that perfect in-between of American Mexican and autentico, you can choose as you please. This ain't no Chuy's, no no no no. This is supreme. This is that neighborhood joint that serves delicious food and margaritas for a good price type beat.
I go for the fajitas or the huge California burrito. The protein and veggies are consistently cooked great. I have to stop myself from eating everything in one sitting because even the leftovers are amazing. I love you El Metate, never change. "

"Let me say I was fully prepared for this dash to not go well. The fact that the vendor had disabled the special request and now importantly that the LIL' DRINK did not give an option to select the drink type made me skeptical.
But this is 10/10. The quintessential taco salad -- fresh, delicious and crispy.
I was able to note my drink in the handoff notes (lol) and somehow they found it. So, take the risk, so the extra work to accomodate their awkward menu setup. Well worth it.

"The chicken in the quesadilla was nicely seasoned and the refried beans were reported (by my child) to be really good. Spinach enchiladas were reported (by husband) to be best he has ever had. Cheese dip was best I've had compared to others around. That's where it ended. Several items were messed up and missing, The quesadilla was soaking wet, but at least the meat was good. They restaurant offered to fix it, but only if I drove out to pick it up. Defeats the purpose of ordering Door Dash. But had no choice, otherwise 3 people wouldn't have had their dinner."
