"I rarely write reviews but had to after trying many different things on the menu. I've yet to order something that wasn't delicious. I'm glad my brother told me about this Italian restaurant and pizzeria about a year ago. Over the years, the chains have been one of many reasons why it's been harder to find an old school place like Angelo's where you know whatever you order will be consistently delicious and you'll get bang for your buck no matter what you order. That's been my experience and i'm picky about my pizza, hoagies and Italian dishes . Everything i've had here has been quality food you can taste instead of the many places that cut corners with cheap and overly processed ingredients used by too many restaurant/pizzerias in the south Jersey area these days. "Decent prices (at least they are at the time of this review), generous portions and delicious sandwiches has now made this place one of my favorite places for subs and sandwiches. Although, I was not happy to see their 3 Hoagie deal jump up $5 just a few days after I ordered it at a lower price.
The 12" hoagies are not very customizable but they are loaded with meat, veggies and seasonings. Unlike hoagies I've gotten from some places, I didn't have to look through the sandwich to find the meat. I've gotten Chicken Salad hoagies from many places and the one I got here was one of the best. I also like that they give you separate little cups of pickles and sweet peppers with each hoagie.
Both the Regular and the Chicken Cheesesteaks had lots of meat. The Meatball Parm had plenty of meatballs, cheese and sauce unlike some I've gotten elsewhere that were pretty dry with little sauce. I liked that along with lots of sausage, the Sausage, Peppers & Onions Sandwich had big pieces of peppers and onions instead of tiny pieces I had to look for.
I received everything I ordered and everything was packed nicely and neatly.
My only wish is that they offered a bigger variety of salads.
