"The food is edible. If you are not Caribbean or aren't familiar with Jamaican food, yes the food is decent. But having been around authentic Jamaican food, I can only say the food is Jamaican inspired. The oxtails tasted as if they were only cooked in beef broth, there was no sweetness and no depth of flavor, and no gravy from the slow cooking process. Also from a price point, I purchased a large oxtail thinking to share it between people (for $28.00) and received 8 small oxtails, a spoonful of rice and peas, and steamed cabbage all stuffed in a little rectangle container you would normally get from chinese takeout. They were tough, which feels as if they were made quickly or were sitting for a while. The rice and peas had no coconut milk, or flavor. The fried chicken was made with orange peels, and dry. "
