"This might be some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. I got the Chicken Shawarma Pita and it was amazing. The chicken was juicy, the pickled veggies were fresh and crunchy, the tahini was so smooth and creamy and the pita was nice and toasty with a slight bitterness from the char while still being pillowy and soft inside. I highly recommend pairing it with their homemade schog hot sauce. It is the perfect blend of herbaceous and heat that elevates the Chicken Pita to another level. I also got a side of the garlic yogurt which was creamy and delicious. The Honey Glazed Halloumi was fantastic as well the Halloumi cheese was salty and squeaky, sitting in this beautiful honey garlic confit. Not to mention I got all of this food delivered. "I’ve ordered from World Flats in Ridgewood several times because they initially had some great vegan options. The vegan burger and the Vietnamese wrap were done really well, and I was impressed enough to place another order in advance for my lunch break. But when I bit into the burger this time, I could’ve broken a tooth. It was rock solid—even tapping it with a fork didn’t break it. It tasted like it had been cooked the night before and then just reheated. The fries were just as bad—stale, dry, and inedible—and the wrap was a messy pile of soggy vegetables that gave the same “leftover from last night” vibe. What made it worse was the dismissive attitude when I called. I wasn’t looking for a freebie—I’d already ordered from them multiple times that week. But they immediately treated me like I was just trying to complain or scam them. No accountability, no apology, just attitude. I spent $40 on this meal and got something I wouldn’t even serve as leftovers. I’m sharing this because people deserve to know, and businesses need to understand that consistency and basic customer respect matter. Mistakes happen, but the way you respond to them speaks volumes.
