Also the sauce they included with the salad was so good. Now the T2. Spicy Chicken Teriyaki was phenomenal. Chicken grilled crispy. Sauce was spicy but not too spicy with a hint of sweet. Portions were HUGE. I pigged out and still have an entire tupperware of leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Anyways that's the longest food review I have ever written. "My mom and I really love Kuro Sushi's bowls. She usually orders the Salmon Poke Bowl . I order the Tofu Poke Bowl . I'm not supposed to eat a lot of tofu and a few times I've asked them to substitute veggies, which they have so kindly done. The Tofu Poke Bowl has a really flavorful ginger sauce that goes with it. Kuro Sushi always cares about presentation. The way the ingredients are placed in their recyclable cardboard containers makes me believe there is a true artisan in the kitchen. The portions are excellent and the food is consistently delicious. The rice is a red rice and has a different flavor than white rice. Both items were overcooked, as if they had been sitting too close to a heat lamp for a long time before the chicken was smothered in teriyaki sauce. There is NO “salad”; there is iceberg lettuce and ranch dressing. The ONLY good thing i can say about this meal is that the brown rice, for which I paid an extra $3, was served in a good sized portion. I will never eat here again. "Every item is delicious when we order from New Zen. They're our go-to sushi/feel-good Japanese restaurant in our home town of Renton. I often get the Oyakodon when I'm in need of something that's easy on the tummy, but today I just wanted something warm and comforting.
