"I had such a great experience with my recent order from Perkins Restaurant & Bakery! The potato pancakes were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, perfectly tender on the inside, and packed with comforting flavor. "I haven't had Perkins in a few years. The prices have gone up to the point where my sandwich was actually more expensive than most from Pub 500. I paid extra so that the food would get directly to me. The order took longer but it's dinner time, so I didn't mind. That wouldn't be a problem except that it arrived especially cold, even for Door Dash. lt had clearly been sitting a while. The Sandwich is definitely not worth $17.99. Not when I can get hot, fresh food from other non-chain restaurants in town. The lemon meringue pie was weird, too. haven't had that in a few years. The meringue was gritty and almost like a paste. Some can definitely be hit or miss, for instance our Burrito Milanesa was hard to eat because of single chunk of tough meat running through the burrito. Others had a few obviously not-so-fresh main ingredients too. Food is very undersalted so bring your own seasonings. But the price-to-quantity of 2 portion 'combination plates' make up for it. 8. Two Burritos (Choice) Small Size is roughly $8 per single adult portion after tax which is unheard of, especially in this town where dining out is relatively overpriced. And that is a 'full' portion too. Light eaters can easily get 3 meals out of a Two Combo plate. Also love that red salsa is adequately spicy and green isn't spicy at all. You can tell everything is made fresh. The ingredients tasted clean and vibrant, especially the rice and beans, which were cooked perfectly and not dry or bland. I ordered the quesadillas with beans and rice, and the portions were generous. The quesadillas were loaded with filling, the tortillas were grilled just right with a crisp outside and soft center, and the cheese was melted evenly throughout. The beans were smooth and flavorful, and the rice had a nice texture with good seasoning. The portion sizes were more than fair for the price, and nothing felt rushed or pre made. I ordered the Bacon Mac & Cheese Pizza in neapolitan and it was just perfect for us. Thin where it needs to be and yet a thick crust. Kid's 1 Topping Pizza was super super thin and yet still so delicious my son usually doesn't like thin Pizza nuy he loved this one and I'm sure it is because of how it is cooked. The 6 Fire Roasted Wings I didn't quite like the sauce we choose but my daughter did. Honey garlic. The wings themselves were cooked good and a good size not tiny. Cheesy Breadsticks were good also. We tried them out cause we were told on the phone call that the roma thick dough used for the pizzas was the same as they used for the breadsticks and that wasnt too thick.
