Kuro Sushi always cares about presentation. The way the ingredients are placed in their recyclable cardboard containers makes me believe there is a true artisan in the kitchen. The portions are excellent and the food is consistently delicious. The rice is a red rice and has a different flavor than white rice. "they've improved a lot in the last couple years, but they did raise their prices quite a bit recently. they have the temperature true low in the fridge for the salad, sometimes it's frozen and the leaves get all soggy and transparent/ brown when they thaw out. Their standard time for cooking teriyaki is a little too low for me, it always ends up a bit pink, but I love the teriyaki when I tell them to cook it a bit more charred. unless you go during peak Microsoft lunch hours, it's never busy either, so it's nice if you just want to have a quiet spot to get a quick bite. they aren't in front about the extra cost, but they will charge for a bag when they ask you if you want one, no charge for utensils and if you ask nicely they can throw in a free cup of teriyaki / siracha sauce."

"Ooof this food was shockingly bad. Paid $14.95 for veg tempura. It was half a portion you get from anywhere else and cane with two scoops of rice, which was a first. The tempura batter was absolutely terrible, transparently thin yet the clusters on one side of each veg were hard and chewy. The teriyaki chicken did not taste right. This tasted boiled and had zero grill marks or carmelization. Tasted off. Are about half. The worst of all was the sweet and sour chicken. This cook needs to go back to school the chicken had that same awful batter and the entire thing was drenched in their sauce which rasted nothing like tegular sweet an sour (it was neither). My wife had two or three pieces but had to spit out the last and was done. Bad food guys - please get training if you are selling this awful food."
