It was very delectable. I only wish I had more to eat. The rice, though the portion was sadly pitiful, was fluffy, soft, and fragrant. It paired well with the chicken. "I ordered the vegan buffalo blast burger. The menu describes it as a "mouth-watering" veggie patty, but it is really just a dry falafel patty. I also didn't detect any of the "smoking hot" veggies it described. However, the veggies that did exist were fresh, and the whole thing was tasty, nonetheless - and not messy or hard to handle (which is important for me). The fries were good - not quite the wedges I was expecting, but still substantial, flavorful and not overly salted. The lentil soup, while slightly more on the thin side than stew side, was the star of the meal, and paired perfectly with the pita bread. Overall, it was a 6/10 meal (if it had been an actual garden patty, rather than the falafel, I would have bumped it to at least a 7 or 8). I will be ordering again."

"This was the first time my girlfriend and I ordered from this restaurant. Sometimes you just don't know what the quality or taste of the food is going to be when scrolling thru so many choices. "This SF taqueria used to be one of the best back in the days when burritos were so big you had to hold them with both hands. Tonight I tried this place again with high hopes of tasting the familiar deliciousness of the past. Unfortunately, it tastes nothing like that goodness. I went for it spent the extra money and ordered an all meat carne asada burrito. With the price and the lack of meat (and mostly all beans), it left me feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. I was left to wonder, "where's the beef?" I suspect that this will probably be the last time I eat at la Cumbre."
