The chicken tenders were crispy with a slight Cajun spice (perfection; there'smore chicken than batter), the Mac-n-Cheese I could eat every day (you can tell it's not made from a box), the green beans will make anyone love vegetables, and the garlic bread, OMG, was warm, soft and garlicky. Other places I've tried in the area have dishes that are just too sweet without the depth of flavor, or fresh veggies, that I'm looking for. This dish was the best I've had so far! Warning: it is HOT. It seems to have dried chiles (Thai Birdseye maybe?) and that left coarse bits of skin and seeds in the dish, and a little more heat than I prefer (and I LIKE spicy!) I ordered a side of lo mein and mixed with the beef. The beef was tender and flavorful. The veggies were very fresh. The carrots and cabbage seemed to be cut just for my order. I could taste fresh garlic and a hint of something smoky, like bacon. And, the portions are very generous! If this had just a little less chiles, it would be my top favorite asian noodle dish ever. "The Aoki Don Deluxe Item is not at all as described. The description lists cold sushi items such as sashimi, salmon roe, crab and tamago. Because of this, I was expecting to receive something akin to Chirashi Don, cold slices of fish atop a bed of rice. "Absolutely fabulous & fresh!!! The Falafel Salad is delicious! The falafel arrived warm and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The salad is refreshing and arrived nice and chilled. The DD app shows what looks like a feta vinegarette dressing for the Falafel Salad . That dressing was missing, which was disappointing. The Falafel Salad was delicious but would have tasted brighter if it had a great chunky feta vinegarette dressing to add acidity. The Mediterranean Hummus is SO yummy!!!!!! Even though we dont like olives (and requested they be on the side), we could overlook them here because the olives were coated in Mediterranean Hummus yumminess!!!! (Insert heart emojis). Normally, I like olive oil and paprika on hummus. Cafe Petra elevates hummus to an altogether different (higher) level with its perfect blend of other toppings for their "out of this world" Mediterranean Hummus!!! Be sure to try it for yourself! "Another average at best Greek/Mediterranean spot in Houston. We have tried almost all of them and most are not that good to be honest. The dip sampler was ok, tzatziki was decent, eggplant was pretty good, but the hummus was terrible we had to throw it out. Also for over $20 in sampler dips you would think they would do the right thing and give you 2-3 pittas to dip in them. Nope they barely gave us one pita, very disappointing. We even ordered extra on the side and again it was very minimal, pittas are cheap and easy to make and most spots throw in a few especially if you order extra but they did not. The pittas are very soft and fluffy though so that is a bright spot one of the better pittas in Houston. The gyro was decent but nothing unforgettable best part of it was the pitta on the outside. We prefer thin sliced pieces of meat but they were a bit chunkier. So overall would not recommend them at all 6/10, still the best Greek/Mediterranean food out here is Petras, at least they give tons of meat on their gyros and the meat is flavorful instead of bland like most of these places."
