"So I heard a lot of good things about Deshi's so I wanted to give them a try, so I ordered the Butter Chicken and the Garlic and basil naan bread, in my opinion to determine on how good an Indian restaurant is, the Butter Chicken is essential when ordering from an Indian restaurant for the first time, the Butter Chicken I ordered was very tasty, it was creamy, tomatoey, slightly spicy (I ordered as medium plus, but you can change the spice level from no spice to extra hot) seasoned well, and the chicken was tender and fresh, the rice was good, fluffy, not over or undercooked, not watery or grainy, cooked perfect, I wish they added a little bit of salt, but nevertheless the rice was solid, now the garlic basil naan, it was good flavor wise, my only criticism with the naan bread was it was kinda tough, not soft like I was hoping with most naan bread's out there, and I wished they used fresh basil instead of the dried basil leaves, because the fresh basil would've been a real game changer, the garlic on there was good no complaints, if the naan was softer this could've been a 5/5 stars, overall this is a great Indian spot, and definitely worth going back to again, and it's worth it for y'all to try this place as well :) Butter Chicken 8.7/10 White Rice 7.9/10 Garlic and Basil naan 7.3/10 Overall score of Deshi's Kitchen 8.3/10 "

I ordered beef tehari (beef biryani) along with rice pudding. The rice pudding seemed old and spoiled—the rice was already breaking down and melting, which made it unpleasant to eat. As for the beef biryani, it was supposed to contain a decent amount of beef, but I only found 3–4 very small pieces of meat. Even worse, the biryani was completely tasteless. There was no aroma or flavor at all—just plain rice with almost no seasoning.What they show on the online menu and what I actually received were completely different. The presentation and portion did not match at all.Overall, this was one of the worst biryanis I’ve ever had. It felt like a complete waste of money. "Not bad but, not great. Ive been craving Chicken Biryani so I thought I'd try it. Flavored was good, spicy was nice (I ordered mild and it still had a little kick) but it was incredibly dry. The cucumber raita was nice too. Garlic Naan was delicious but lacking the buttery top as seen in the pictures. The Vegetable Samosa was REALLY what I was craving but they were disappointing. Not the traditional samosas I've had before. The samosa dough wasn't the same and the filling I've had in the past had chunks of potato and peas. This was not spiced and it has maybe 2 peas and no potato. Nonetheless, it was good enough for work lunch and there is plenty to take home for later. A solid 7.5/10"
