In my scrolls, I happened on Embers BBq I'm not a big bbq fan but the menu was intriguing so, I took a chance. After much deliberation, I settled (it was not a settle AT ALL), on the brisket quesadilla, all the way and the cheese fries. I got the bbq sauce, on the side because, l'm not really a fan of bbq sauce. I also got the cheese sauce, on the side and coleslaw. When I tell you that Embers BBQ owes me NOTHING, I mean every word. The quesadilla is big enough to share (it's going to take me three days, to finish it ), the fries were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of cheese sauce and the coleslaw (I'm very particular about my slaw) was perfect (not as perfect as my moms, if she's reading this ). Now, let's talk about the bbq and cheese sauce. I'm an NC girl, if I'm going to eat bbq, it has to be vinegar based... USUALLY. Not in this case, the sauce was perfect, not too sweet, with just enough twang. I loved it! The cheese sauce was flavorful and complimented the quesadilla perfectly. Am I a bbq girl? Do I prefer NC style bbq? The truth that I have been living has been dispelled. I can't wait to try the other menu items. Thank you for an AMAZING lunch experience! "

There was a big chunk of carrot about one inch long sitting on top of the slaw. There was no covering over the food, the hushpuppies were soaked with cole slaw juice and there was no silverware. I've had better before and this was really disappointing."
