"Varam is a new Indian place, haven't tried in person, but just tried on Door dash for the first time. I ordered two Biryanis and loved them both! The Golconda Kofta Biryani is amazing! This biryani had minced goat koftas shaped around a hard boiled egg (think Scotch eggs, if you don't know what a kofta is). The kofta is pretty large and you get two kofte in the dish. The biryani was very flavorful and also spicy, and the minced goat was incredibly delicious and tender. Loved it, will definitely order again. The Potlam Chicken Biryani was also super delicious, it's an egg-wrapped biryani with spicy boneless chicken pieces. Also very good, the chicken was tender and juicy. Will be ordering both of these dishes again!"

"I tried the Shrimp Biryani, Chicken 65 Bezule, Garlic Naan, and in a previous order, I tried the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani. Everything except the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani was very, very good. All dishes tasted very flavorful, and fresh. Portion sizes were also very good. They were all very spicy. The chicken Chicken 65 Bezule and shrimp in the Shrimp Biryani were juicy and delicious, and chicken bezule pairs very well with Garlic Naan. The only BIG disappointment was the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani. It was extremely dry, completely flavorless, and lacked salt. All the other dishes I've tried at this restaurant are so good, I would recommend the chef to rework the Chicken Dum Biryani. Hard to believe it was so disappointing. "I was excited to try this spot as the reviews were all really good but I was disappointed. The first thing I noticed was the portion sizes, I ordered a $6 mango lassi and it was only an 8oz drink. The flavor was lacking it didnt really taste like mango but more like yogurt. The butter chicken was okay in flavor, ive had better but again the portion size was really small for a $20 plate. Not to mention they dont give you a side of rice you have to buy it and they dont even give you a complimentary naan. The saffron rice was also okay didnt really had much flavor and was a little hard. The samosas were good im surprised it came with two pieces, they do have more of a mash potato consistency. "

"First and last time we'll ever order from this restaurant. We ordered a delivery because I'm getting over an illness, and our usual Thai place is closed on Sundays. Starting with the food, we ordered approximately the same thing we do at the other place, a couple of curries, a couple orders of satay, and we ordered the sticky rice since they don't have coconut rice at Siam. When the ordered arrived we looked at it and said "that's it?". The portion sizes on the two currys and the sticky rice were both small. Each curry came in a plastic pint deli container that was more very thin curry than meat and vegetable content. The taste of the curries was nothing memorable, and the two different kinds of curry didn't taste much different from each other. Maybe it was because of how watery they were. The two "servings" (lumps) of sticky rice..was barely a serving size, if that, at least it lived up to its name. The very overpriced satay was disappointing. The chicken wasn't marinated, and was thin and tasteless. The peanut sauce was unmemorable and the little bit of salad with it was just that, little. When it was delivered, apparently they had placed the curries on top of the tray container for the satay, and it had tipped over during transport and leaked a little. The curries were sealed it a separate bag, but they were only in typical deli style plastic pint containers. The sticky lum..rice were just rolled up in some tin foil. Obviously value wise I don't think very highly of a place where the portions, quality, packaging, and taste is less than, while the price is higher than other local Thai restaurants, for the same dishes. Can't recommend, will never try again."
