"My first time trying El Jefe Birria & Tacos so I wanted to start with basics and went with the Taco Plate which comes with a generous portion of rice and beans. I had asked for each one with a different meat so I could try more and they accomodated that request. Each was delicious, I added a squeeze of lime here and a dash of the inc hot sauces, green red and not sure which the other was but they were all delicious. I did order another dish with it and it looks delicious but I only made it half way through my tacos before getting stuffed so I will easily get 2 meals for the price of one. "The Taco Salad was well worth the price, I don't believe anything else in my order was. The Kids' Quesadilla was very small with barely any cheese and barely cooked. it might even have been microwaved honestly. the Esquite tasted good, however it comes in a small coffee cup and the toppings were only at the top. So the first layer of bites is great then your left with a cup of plain corn. at $7 that's pretty skimpy. The Chips with Guacamole was a guac sauce, not what I expected. Again, at $7 that was disappointing. And I paid $2 for the Chipotle Sauce which was 2oz. All in all, pretty good food, just doesn't justify the price in my mind."

I've tried the chicken one before though the pork one is far superior in my opinion. The create 2 combo plate was surprisingly very good for both items that I chose mind you that's a first because most other places are hit and miss. The portions were good for the price as well. I chose the chicken enchilada which Iwas happy to see they actually have shredded chicken made from scratch and I also chose the chili relleno which was good as well. Their rice is made perfect and not over cooked as well as the refried beans are made in house it seems because it tasted authentic to me versus other places I've tried in the past.
