"Overall, I get the essence of home... an authentic dish from my titi's house. However, sometimes the pernil is absolutely perfect and other times it's very dry. The only time we get the right amount of rice is if we ask for no salad. I find the salad to be a waste because it's already dressed and arrives soggy. We love salad, just not soggy. I understand the restaurant uses good containers but they are children sized portions for quite a bit of money. I dine at fine restaurants and well appointed restaurants where the dishes are more expensive than their street counterparts, but the portions and the quality of the food command the prices. I would increase my rating to at least a four if mi amigos would consider improving their portions and making sure the pernil is succulent each time. Gracias!!"

"I rarely write reviews but had to after trying many different things on the menu. I've yet to order something that wasn't delicious. I'm glad my brother told me about this Italian restaurant and pizzeria about a year ago. Over the years, the chains have been one of many reasons why it's been harder to find an old school place like Angelo's where you know whatever you order will be consistently delicious and you'll get bang for your buck no matter what you order. That's been my experience and i'm picky about my pizza, hoagies and Italian dishes . Everything i've had here has been quality food you can taste instead of the many places that cut corners with cheap and overly processed ingredients used by too many restaurant/pizzerias in the south Jersey area these days. I'm mostly Italian, grew up and lived most of my 50+ years in the area so was surprised I haven't eaten here before my brother recommended it about a year ago. The dip wasnt much of an add but thats the only thing I could even say negative at all. Unfortunately, the only complaint we have is the food was obviously cooked well before being picked up and driven th 10 minutes to my house.
