The Ginataang Bilo Bilo (16oz.) was warm, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The mix of sticky rice balls, jackfruit, and sweet potatoes in coconut milk was rich and comforting, just like homemade.

"If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible. $15 for an acai bowl and what I got was pureed banana with a couple of spoonfuls of acai. It LITERALLY had absolutely no flavor at all of acai. The entire bowl tasted like bananas with purple food color. There is absolutely no way that even a fair amount of acai was used. I was shocked beyond shocked. Not only did the entire thing taste of bananas, but it was also horribly bland. Not even a hint of sweetness. Very angering. This is why I hate places that use bananas as a base for acai. The amount of dishonesty is reprehensible. I'm so angry at this point. DO NOT GIVE THIS AWFUL PLACE YOUR MONEY! As the first meal of my day, it actually ruined my day."

"I've been going to Flavor Of India for decades, since it was a reliable spot to hit up before a show at the Troubadour. While I miss the lovely patio at that location, I have to say that since they settled in at the Sunset location the quality of the food is now unbeatable. Some time in the past two or three years this has somehow become the best Indian place in town, reliably surpassing all of my former favorites. I was concerned it wouldn't be flavorful enough since it was just in the cream and not in the Matcha latte, but was pleasantly surprised it was very well balanced! I got it with no sugar and it was the perfect amount of sweetness for me. I recommend swirling the drink to mix in the banana cream top so you get the flavor when drinking the Matcha versus having it sit on top. I think it's a 12 ounce cup, which is perfect because I would definitely drink more if it came in a larger cup. Big Mamma Special decades back and either I had a less educated palette back then or they've cheapest out on it. The biscuit, however, was nice and fluffy, not the hockey puck so many places try to pass off.

* Pork Chashu: Despite ordering and paying for extra protein, I only received two small pieces of pork chashu.
* Crispy Chicken Side: I was initially refunded for the 3-piece side of crispy chicken because it was listed as out of stock. However, I bizarrely received two pieces of what appeared to be old, stale crispy chicken instead.
This combination of cold food, poor quality, incorrect portions, and a confusing issue with a refunded/replaced side made for a terrible meal. I am sorely disappointed."

"I normally tell people how great this restaurant is. I tell people how the salmon is always good. Unfortunately, this time the salmon rolls were very chewy and I had to spit out about a third of it. I gave special instructions so I suspect that the chef gave me the extra chewy part near the tail, as a reward. I have gotten some chewy salmon before from other restaurants, but never so chewy that I couldn't eat it.. The salmon gets more chewy towards the tail, and this part is normally served as Salmon Collar. I love their Salmon Collar! Maybe I was lucky before and they normally serve the extra chewy part, but I've been here easily 20+ times and never had an experience that was remotely close to this. The salmon has always been consistently good, until now. The salmon collar was great as usual. The salmon skin roll was great but the chef didn't follow my instructions. I gave 4 stars instead of 3 because I really don't want to hurt this place. I just want them to know what happened. "
