"We saw a video review of this place on TT and had to try - AMAZING. We were loyal customers of another very popular York Thai place - emphasis on 'were' because we just found our new favorite spot. The drunken noodles were savory but had fresh veggies that kept it from being too rich. The chive cakes and curry puffs were still crispy and hot upon delivery - phenomenal flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated with just the right amount of sauce. It had that perfect balance of sweet and spicy that makes General Tso’s so addictive. The portion was generous, and it came with white rice that complemented the dish wonderfully. The 76. Chicken with Broccoli was also a standout. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the broccoli was bright green and perfectly cooked – just the right balance between tender and crisp. The sauce was rich and flavorful without being too heavy, letting the natural taste of the ingredients shine through. Our sides were just as impressive. "Hamir's is, by far, the best Indian restaurant in York. And, in my experience, the best in the entire area. I'm not a huge fan of spicy food, so I always ask for a spice level of zero. But my kids and husband love the heat! We can all agree that Hamir's is one of our favorite restaurants in York! I love the Papdi Chat and Crab Puri as appetizers. So flavorful! And my kids always enjoy the fries. As a main course, their Coconut Curry Paneer is the best curry, in my opinion. But my family enjoys the Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala. I highly recommend Hamir's for excellent Indian food!"

"The food was terrible. The Creamy Butter Sauce was curdled and separated. The Tandoori Chicken was dry, overcooked, and woody. The Gulab Jamun With Ice Cream were two miniscule balls for $10. This place has really gone downhill. The only semi-decent food was the Samosas , but even those aren't as good as they used to be."
