"I'm Haitian, so ik authentic Haitian food. This platter was mid. The plantain wasn't flattened, just big pieces of plantain that weren't flattened, sucks. The pikliz was glorified coleslaw, barely spicy, they must make it the same day. The Griot wasn't bad, nothing special. They give like a small amount of sweet potato. Just disappointed overall, cause it was almost $30 (which is reasonable if the food is good). The marinade & Akra were good, the stars are for the marinade, Akra & griot. Everything else was not it. "People generally know what they're getting here with Rutt's Hut. Known for possibly having the best dogs not only in Jersey, but in the world (Hiram's in Cliffside is also great). What many don't know is that they have AMAZING coleslaw. It's very similar to the slaw at KFC, but minced smaller and just better overall. I shovel it down with my sandwiches and rippers.
