"Absolutely delicious! We like other Peter Chang-owned restaurants and this one is great, too! The Homestyle Stir-Fried Pork Belly was amazing - tender, beautifully spiced and a generous portion. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp were addictive - well seasoned (but not spicy at all) and cooked perfectly. They'd make a great appetizer shared among several people. They were so delicious that my 11 year old stole some even though she's usually quite picky. She also really enjoyed her Combo Lo Mein. The Sweet and Sour Chicken Slices were also great. Very flavorful with a perfect balance of sweetness. The Dry-Fried Eggplant was very tasty - crispy even though it had to travel here from the restaurant and well seasoned. The only slight let down was the golden mountain Golden Mountain Beef. We've had the Golden Mountain Chicken at other PC restaurants and it works better as chicken. The texture of some, but not all, of the pieces of the beef was stringy and a little dry. Over all it was a wonderful meal and we will order again!"

The shredded beef with peppers had far more peppers than beef, which threw off the balance of the dish. Overall, both dishes lacked flavor. I also found the portion sizes to be quite small compared to what I typically get at Chinese restaurants for a similar price."

"FYI delivery prices ARE MARKED UP compared to pick up. The D2. Steamed Chive & Pork Dumplings / 韭菜猪肉水餃 were really tasty. Very floral. Could've used more sauce but good. The N4. Sichuan Beef Noodles Soup / 川味牛肉面 was bland. Very vinegar heavy but otherwise bland and no flavor and no spice. They added pickled cabbage which took over the entire dish. "TheSautéed Steak Chunk with Black Pepper Sauce didn't have sauce, just a coating of pepper and other spices. The dish was superb - very tender and full of flavor. The Orange Duck (1/2) was also delicious - the sauce came separately so the duck stayed crisp. The beef Short Rib with Black Pepper appetizer was juicy and surprisingly tender. We got a huge container of nice steamed rice. All were good portions. The soy Soy Sauce Chicken is always excellent, as are the pork buns.
We will definitely be ordering again. We are so happy they are now available to us in DC."

"Peter Chang used to cook for the Chinese embassy and his food tastes authentic and amazing. I recommend the fish in hot chili sauce (a very large and hearty dish), double cooked pork, and the mapo tofu: the holy trinity of Sichuan fare. Their lunch specials come with soup and are well-proportioned and delicious.
Note: the scallion bubble pancakes don't super well -- when packaged for delivery and they such lose the fabulous shape you see in pictures. I don't mind since the taste is still great, but just be aware that the scallion bubble pancakes will deflate after the journey."

I didnt like the fritters that go with it though they were kinda stale but I also ordered pretty late. The Ma Po's Bean Curd was so good. I usually crave ma po tofu but wanted something less heavy and this was that it had so many veggies and the tofu was soft and the bean curd sauce was really nice actually spicy. Overall I was really happy with it. Will definitely get the tofu again. "
