"First time trying Bengali food through a recommendation and the Special Beef Tehari didn't disappoint. Not only was it aromatic, but flavorful as well. The rice was fluffy and well seasoned containing large chunks of beef. The owner was also kind enough to make an exception and made the Garlic Naan that I had ordered but was not aware that it was served only during certain hours. Overall, the portion size and flavors are absolutely worth the price. I would definitely be coming back again, not just for the food but for the excellent customer service. "The Beef Tehari was generously packed, just as my previous orders were. They did not mess around with the beef-to-rice ratio. I literally had a piece of beef with each spoon of rice, and still had four pieces left at the end after finishing the rice.
They were out of Pati Shapta, and they quickly issued the refund on that. I appreciate that they didn't simply leave it to me to ask DoorDash for a refund, which many places unfortunately do.
I would order the tehari again. Excellent value and bang for the buck. "

"I ordered naan and nihari from Sunshine Restaurant through DoorDash. The nihari was extremely disappointing. It arrived cold, tasted unpleasant, and did not resemble traditional nihari in flavor or preparation. Although there was a large portion of meat, it was not beef shank, and the small amount of gravy at the bottom was far below what diners expect from a proper nihari.What made the experience worse was the lack of honesty in the portion provided. The nihari was clearly incomplete, with barely any gravy and an improper cut of meat, which felt misleading for the price charged. Overall, the dish appeared old, poorly made, and not worth the cost.Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to avoid ordering the nihari. It did not meet basic quality standards and was a waste of both time and money."

In my opinion the special deal of $20 for it, was not worth it at all. It's edible and I guess does the job to fill my stomach but it's mostly rice and lacking a flavor.

"First time I am buying from this store. I didn't receive my 2 samosas that I was looking forward to trying since it is the first time I am ordering from this place and I didn't receive my rices. The reason why I ordered was because Tandoori (Indian restaurant) ran out of food. They are my favorite so I picked the second best, but I didn't get my 2 samosas.
UPDATE: I had to order a soda and they would then send me the rice and Samosas that they forgot. The restaurant worker apologized, and explained that they are crazy busy from customers inside stores and ordering online. I appreciate the apology and explanation. In regard to the order, It tastes great but it is super spicy. I would still give them a 5 stars because they are used to the spice because that's their culture. I ate some of the goat and rice but put it away. Thank you."

"Queens gem. No place quite like Paratha in their dedication to detail with their menu, desi flavor & actual spot with artful attention to vibe/mood/atmosphere. FYI- NEW very cute backyard seating area! This replaces the street seating that was in the front during the pandemic (which they somehow made cozy and transformed into a tropical-feeling right on busy Metro Ave)... The staff of Paratha are all fabulous. Food: Curry Coconut Shrimp is amazing- been a FAV since they first opened. Roti & garlic paratha to die for as is the Chana. Daal tadka is smokey and incredible, kale fritters are great- he likes the amritsari fish & saag paneer. And of course..the samosas & tamarind are a must have. Everything we've had has been a step above. *ALSO they were BYOB originally but now have drinks & a cocktail menu! Mango margarita and we had something else kickass I forgot and don't see the new drink menu up anywhere so will have to return to remember :)

"Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious. Flavorful, slightly sweet with a good kick to it. Chicken is tender and seasoned perfectly. The sauce was a lot spicier most recently compared to the previous 3 times I ordered it. There should be options for Mild, Medium or Spicy in the apps if possible because the sauce is absolutely delicious but the heat takes away from the enjoyment of the dish for those who cannot handle it. The Naan was fluffy and baked to perfection while the garlic Naan was seasoned nicely and loaded with fresh garlic. One more suggestion would be to separately wrap the plain and garlic naan. The garlic was all over the plain naan making it inedible for the person who ordered it. Highly recommend the pulled butter chicken tacos. Very tender and flavorful. * The chicken should be separate so the juices don't make the hard taco shells soggy and fall apart. It's my new go to Indian restaurant."

"The more items we try, the more favorites we find. The Shahi Korma is creamy and nutty with chunks of tender chicken. Beef Vindaloo has great heat, and the Palak Paneer cools off the palate deliciously. Chicken Tikka is moist with a nice sear/crust from the tandoor. We love the garlic naan with everything.
