"I order from Ideal Jamaican Flavors regularly, on October 22th 2025 I ordered the Escovitch Whiting Meal for the first time.
Let me start off by saying, the Escovitch Whiting was fried perfectly!
The whiting is seasoned perfectly( not salty), was not overcooked at all, very much flaky and melt in your mouth!! And most importantly- IT IS NOT GREASY.
The Escovitch Whiting Meal comes with about 3 medium-sized strips of whiting, plus steamed vegetables, rice and peas plus a couple of fried plantains.
It is a good portion size for 9$, the fish tastes fantastic, the sides it comes with are always good and its an overall great lunch sized meal.
You will be full after!
Would definitely order again and recommend to friends, colleagues and family."

"The shrimp and fries were excellent! The shrimp were jumbo-sized and not overly battered, so you could actually enjoy the flavor of the shrimp. "There is love in that Stew Chicken and the whole meal ! !
I'm very satisfied with this order, the bowl was filled to the brim, the chicken was juicy and flavorful and so was the sauce(I'm so glad I was given a generous amount and it had a nice sweet but not too sweet taste), and the mixed vegetables were nice and fresh. "Queens Jamaican food hasn't been hitting, but this food is AUTHENTIC!! They cook with Scotch bonnet and everything. "Ordered boneless Curry chicken, it came with 2 small pieces of chicken on the bone and a bunch of tiny pieces of chicken (bottom on the pan). The Curry Tasted off. The Shrimp Aloo Pie was dry, I ordered it with Tamarind Sauce, cucumber chutney, and shadow benny. I did not receive any of the toppings requested and was given to me with pepper sauce instead. "I was honestly surprised by the portion size when my order arrived. For a medium oxtail, I expected a more generous serving. I received two larger pieces of oxtail along with two much smaller pieces that were mostly bone. The oxtail itself was flavorful and tender, and the rice was good, but there wasn’t enough gravy to go with all of the rice. Overall, the food tasted great, but the portion size didn’t match my expectations, especially for the price. I hope they consider being more generous with both the oxtail and the gravy."
