The garlic naan was fresh, warm, and beautifully cooked. Soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside, and packed with rich garlic flavor, it paired wonderfully with the curry. Everything tasted freshly made and handled with care.
I have tried many different momos all over San Francisco, but most of them were disappointing. Himalayan is the only place that has consistently delivered amazing quality. Chili Momos – I had no idea what to expect, but these were excellent. The dumplings seemed fried, then tossed in a peppery, savory sauce with bell peppers and onions. The sauce wasn’t runny—it coated each momo evenly. It reminded me of a Chinese stir-fry, but lighter and less greasy.
Chicken Tikka – Tender, juicy, and full of savory flavor. Perfect with the butter naan.
Fish Fry (Swai) – This one surprised me the most. The minced onion sauce on the crispy fish was delicious! It’s more of a paste than a liquid, but the flavor was incredible. It even reminded me of fermented black bean sauces used in Chinese stir-fries.

The spices in the Boti Kabab are well balances and the meat tender. The portions are generous. If you're not accustomed to the heat level of South Asian cuisine, please note that "spicy" really is very spicy. It was just right for me. I've had a hard time finding good Desi food and am so happy to have finally found a winner in Royal Indian Cuisine."
