"I've ordered here a couple times and it's the most flavorful and best value Ethiopian I've found in the area. Menu is smaller and more focused (not a bad thing) and the food is all well-seasoned and cooked. I think they've been giving me extra salad too. It's my new go-to."

"Even though their food is pricy, it's really worth it. Compared to other african restaurants, their food is a lot. I really like their rice and atadindin, the egusi is very tasty as well. The puff puff, meatpie...., the list is endless. Their food really gives Nigerian vibes. I keep coming back every time. I pray I don't spend my life savings on their food 😩"

"Lega tibbs very flavorful and plentiful. Two sides also included. This is how lamb tibbs should taste."
"I don't often write reviews but this was disappointing. Quantity and quality seemed off. We spent almost $100 and tibs were salty, dry and veggies combo also felt like it was lacking the typical dynamic flavor that makes ethiopian food so good and we were so excited for it! Quantities were much smaller compared to other restaurants we visit. Our in-person visit was better than takeout but both were long waits. We are huge ethiopian fans and this was disappointing."

"Veggie combo was delicious and plentiful, enough for two meals. Lots of great variety. Especially love the red lentils. Relatively mild spice but very flavorful. "
"This was my first time trying Ethiopian food. My husband (who had tried it once before) and I got the Meat Sampler #1 with split peas and collard greens (we were able to specify which veggie sides we wanted in the special instructions). Both meats were very tender and everything was perfectly spiced! Had I known that the entree would come wrapped in injera - a spongy bread that's foldable like a tortilla but thicker, and thinner than naan - I wouldn't have paid $2.49 to add on additional injera. We will definitely be ordering from Ahadu again."

"They should consider removing Goden Tibs from the menu. Got a HUGE bone with barely any meat on it, only disgusting fat, unseasoned, burnt and just a mess! And I've had better Fasolia for the price and size. I've had their Derek Tibs before and although never consistent (sometimes it has tomatoes sometimes not), that one was good. I also enjoy that I can select my favorite brand or light/dark Teff injera here!
As a wheat-allergic diner, Dama is an amazing place to enjoy Ethiopian cuisine without worrying that someone will make a mistake and I will have a horrible reaction. The staff is very careful about using only Gluten-Free injera in our orders, so we have loved this spot for all the years since we first discovered it. "Generous portions, but the suya misses the mark on authenticity. While you get a lot of food for the price, the suya unfortunately doesn't taste like real suya. It completely lacks that signature smoky, charred grill flavor, and it doesn't even look like it ever touched a grill. On the bright side, the plantains were a 10/10—perfectly cooked. "Excellent as always! Prompt, accurate service with instructions followed, boxes labelled as to which contain mild food, absolutely delicious, great selection, cooked to perfection, every morsel completely tasty! Perfect!
Oh, what did I eat, you wonder? The Dinich Wot (Potato Stew) I had never seen or heard of before so naturally, it was a must! Nicely spiced, saucy stew! That was had with a side of Ater Kik/ mild yellow split peas and the 'regular' injera served in America .... My dining partner and I shared most everything including my Fosolia with a side of Kay Misir -- spicy red lentils -- and the authentic Ethiopian injera (the original teff rather than teff mixed with wheat -- thinner, more sour-tasting, with a totally different long-term bodily effect!) -- and a delicious, crispy lentil sambusa for to end! Again, it was just perfection! Mmm ... ! :-D"

"Absolutely delicious and deserves every bit of praise, the flavor is unmatched and rivals any Awaze Tibs I've had before."
"Ethiopian Combina Platter was extremely oily, I spent 20 mins trying to dab the red colored oil out of the soggy injera. And they included only one additional injera, this was the first time I've seen one injera included in a platter. Food tasted good but made me feel super groggy after. Not terrible but won't do this again."

"Best food ever. The portion is perfect and fresh.I always order from there, and thank you for the best customer service."
"Veggie Combo was abundant in variety but the flavor wasnt the same as other places. Really odd horseradish side that is not traditional. Misir Wot was especially underwhelming, which was too bad because it is my favorite. Maybe the ingredients were less fresh. Spaghetti wasn't good at all and had a sour flavor. Quanta Firfir was the best dish. Would have appreciated more injira."

"My first time here was 10/25/2024 for my brother's birthday dinner. I ordered the Branzino and Tiger Jumbo Tiger Shrimp The ambiance and food was amazing, not to mention the dope customer service. Here it is the next day and I'm ordering from here again lol This time around I got the Red Snapper and Jumbo Tiger Shrimp (again lol) The food was really good both times. Best part is that these good folks are black owned!"
"The best Snapper, I had to order it consecutive days. It has a unique African blend of flavors with 2 delicious sauces to add to the taste. My only issue is the small size of the Sanpper for the price. Otherwise, Chef's kiss!"

"What a treat. I wasn't sure how well Ethiopian food was going to pack and travel but it arrived in perfect shape. The collection of vegetarian dishes was superb. Spicy but not overwhelmingly so. The Tekil Gomen and Shiro Wat are two of my favorites but their version of Kayser -- the rich, mineral-laden beet dish, was incredible. Just delicious. It was served on injera, as it would be in a restaurant, with several more rounds of the flat bread folded over the top to soak up any sauce that spilled over in transit. Ed I definitely did not need the extra side of injera I ordered. This meal would have fed 2-3 hungry people. There is a smaller sampler for one but I wanted to taste everything. So glad I did. Will definitely order again!! "
"Family Special was delicious, especially the beet dish. Definitely a hearty two meals' worth of food. The Sambusa was tasty as well. The pastry was doughier rather than crispy which was different than most others in the area."

"You will not be disappointed, this food healing for my mind, body and soul. the food flavorful and seasoned to perfection."
"Pepper Soup : there were too many different types of goat meat,I believe there was a cut cow or goat tongue in there as well with cow skin and some other parts I couldn't recognize. I prefer less meat . $19 for small soup in a container :( . Did not taste like regular spicy pepper soup. Was a little watery.
Moin Moin :was hot but okay, I notice some fish in it and it makes it not very appetizing to eat without worrying about swallowing some.
Vegetable Soup (Efo Riro) : It was okay, I did not find it tasty, took a few bites maybe three to taste it better. notice it was cooked in palm oil, along with the pepper soup."
