"Really good! It's hard to get good Tamil food downtown but this place is great! I tried the Classic Jaffna Kothu Roti and Soya Kari Vegan Rice Bowl - both were great and had a lot of protein included! I also had Amma’s Paal Kopi which tasted exactly like when my mom makes it at home. The Tropical Mango Shake was also amazing!
Highly recommend!!"

"Absolutely mind blowing taste. It has been a great experience. They genuinely care about your order. Recently, I tried their Samosa - 2 and other short eats, it was fantastic 👌and crispy. highlyrecommend"
"The fried rice was pretty good. It had that typical street-style Chennai chicken fried rice taste, and the flavor was great. The only issue was that there were barely any chicken pieces in it. I would rather they charge a bit more and add a decent amount of chicken.
The chili chicken was not great. It was way too oily and salty. It did not really taste like chili chicken, more like fried chicken pieces tossed in ketchup and chili sauce."

"Big fan of Madras Masala. I've always loved their meat dishes so when I got a DoorDash 40%, decided to go mad ordering things from them! Loved the Lamb Hyderabadi -- it is succulent and delicious. They were also nice enough to actually give me an extra container of the curry because I'd requested it. Same goes for the Coconut Milk Mutton Biryani -- so yummy! You'd think they'd taste the same since both have more or less the same condiments. But holy wow! So different but so good! Now regretting not ordering the rava kesari to finish it all off! "
"We really enjoyed Madras Masala. The portions were generous. Their channa masala is perfectly spiced and delicious. They were very thoughtful of dietary restrictions. And the food arrived piping hot. Will definitely add them to our regular rotation. This is our new go-to for South Indian in the city! "

"Food was tasty. Salad nice and fresh. Love the lentil soup. Great to be able to get healthy food late night and they allow instructions when ordering too. Only complaint is not enough foil was used to warp the naans which means they lost some of the heat because they they were exposed and couldn't be fully closed. Other than this, good job. Thanks Kabul Express!"
"The Chicken Wings (12) taste good. Wings have dry spices on it, kinda like Louisiana rub (not in taste but texture). It can be a little Charred.
Garlic Naan is different but tastes good. This one is a thick bread with lot of garlic stuffed in it so it's not like your regular naan bread which is less doughy and slightly crunchy. "

"We had ordered biryani for a x'mas event. Their Chicken Dum Biryani was very flavourful and my family and friends enjoyed the food. Their portions were very generous and their Pepper Chicken (16 oz) was yummy as well. Highly recommended if you are planning for an event or a mini party. The food is good and the staff are extremely friendly. Glad to have found this place!

"A small South Indian restaurant that amazed me!
The most amazing dosa in town! If you like the Indian taste and want to spice things up, ask him for the special gunpowder. The chutney and sambhar equally matchup to the dosa and overall a perfect crisp delight!
We ordered chicken 65 as appetizer followed by two different dosa, one Mysore Masala Dosa.
Best kothu parota ever I had.
Although a small kitchen, the ingredients used to cook the food are fresh, good quality and the chef does a fantastic job in balancing numerous spices.
What I like the most about this restaurant is most of the food is made to order so it will take time from order to completion so I suggest order before you leave home, it is worth it.
The chef has magic in his hands.
Very kind and polite and friendly person.

"Food was overall good.
But I requested sauce in the side and they were tossed in and got sauce on the side. "
"The 12 oz Sirloin Steaks were half as thick and much more gristly and fattier than in the past. The chefs also cooked the steaks rare and medium as requested. However, we enjoyed the two steak dinners with the fresh vegetables and the larger amount of delicious mushroom gravy this time. So that's why they deserve 4 stars (which for a pub is decent and it's not like they have a choice as to the products they receive and have to work with). Which We appreciated.
However the price was almost double with extra added fees that we were not charged 3 years ago. For $97 including the only a 10% tip (almost $10), was outrageous.
Our delivery gentleman Sohem was polite, fast and efficient and took great care not to tip the containers on his electric bike. I wish I could have him deliver all my meals if I use Door Dash again."

"Almost always, very good quantity and fingerlickin' delicious - absolute value for money!
Beef fry is my favourite. And bucket biriyani but today, i tried both Maharaja/rani biriyanis and i am blown away! If I am not mistaken, raja is chilli chicken and rani, manchurian or ginger/garlic chicken, with sumptuous pieces of chicken, and biriyani rice for both is the special ghee variant (sinfully delicious), and both comes with salad, pickle and pappadam, no egg. Bucket biriyani comes with egg, 4 pieces of tandoori wings, the regular but equally yummylicious non-ghee variant rice, pappadam, salad and pickle. Bucket in mini-tumblers and all others in regular boxes.
Overall, the best for Kerala cuisine! This team knows good food for valuable price!"

"Kalyug is one of my favorite restaurants in Canada. The food always reminds me of home, and honestly, I haven’t found a better taste anywhere else. The quality, flavor, and authenticity are outstanding. For me, Kalyug deserves a full 5-star rating.
I would just like to suggest a couple of small improvements. First, my order did not include disposable cutlery. It would be helpful if cutlery were included with takeout and delivery orders. Even if there is a small extra charge for it, I would not mind paying.
Second, the spicy sauce and the pickled onions (vinegar-marinated onions) were provided in very small quantities. These sides add a lot to the overall meal experience, and it would be great if a little more could be included, especially for regular customers.
Other than these minor suggestions, everything was excellent. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are satisfying, and the taste truly feels like home. I can honestly say that I haven’t had better Indian food anywhere else in Canada. Kalyug has earned my 5-star rating, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, home-style food"
"Overall the value for money was not there. Noodles were good, a quality item. Spring rolls felt like they were cheap frozen, just heated up and served. Green chutney while acceptable was simply too much in terms of quantity.

"The Amount of food isnt bad at all, the taste reminded me of home. Wish they'd give a bit more of the gravy with the chicken roast tho.
Got Mango Lassi instead of borhani but that tasted good so no complains."
"Mutton kacchi was stale. Meat was very dry, not worth it for the price.
Chicken biriyani was fresh and tasty but annoying part was way too much cilantro & mint leaves.
Chicken roast tasted good.
Chicken kabab was amazing. So good.
Borhani was fabulous, so did the rice pudding.
We enjoyed everything other than the Kacchi biryani."

"Their food was very flavorful and tasted fresh and perfectly spiced. Portions were perfect. Infact they had more chicken than rice, which was beyond expectation. We would definitely order again and explore more of their menu. And BOGO is such a steal. GREAT JOB YOU GUYS!!❤️"
"This is the second time we ordered. Loved the food first time but this time the rice was undercooked and quantity was significantly lesser than the first time. Upsetting inconsistency in quality and quantity management."

"The lamb biryani I ordered was excellent. The meat was tender and moist, and everything was nicely spiced without the heat being overpowering. The rice was light and fluffy, with nicely separated grains. Getting a good biryani in the GTA is not easy, so this really hit the spot. In his immortal words: I'll be back."
"Perfection. My favourite Indian restaurant in the city. I love the Hariyali Tikka chicken, amazingly flavourful. A dish I've not seen before. Totally different from typical tikka chicken . The coating is a green sauce with just the right mix of heat, tangy, salty. Highly recommend you try it! Great portions. Love the Samosa(2pcs) here too. "

"Not about the portion of the food but it's very horrible, I have tried the same dish from Scarborough Biryaniwallah and it was godly. This was exact opposite, horrible texture, horrible taste and God knows why they added green peas to a fried rice 😔. Only good thing was the coke that came with it"

"Just blown away by how good the beef Beef Tehari was! exceeded expectations. just one feedback: perhaps they can cut back down a bit on the amount of whole peppercorns in the dish. otherwise, just perfect. huge quantity and was very filling."
"I had a very disappointing experience with the Mutton Kacchi Biryani. The rice was dry and lacked flavor, while the mutton was tough, chewy, and seemed undercooked. There was barely any aroma of authentic spices, and the portion size didn't justify the price. The food tasted stale, as if it had been reheated. Overall, it was one of the worst biryani experiences I've had, and I wouldn't recommend it or order it again."
