"Okay, so upfront—this place is really good. I’m not out here handing out fake praise for every taco I try. I’m just another Mexican out here with a serious love for tacos and cravings that hit hard at 10pm—and I gotta say, this spot delivered.
The quesabirria taco was bomb. Crispy, cheesy, juicy, and that consomé? Tasty! Same with the carnitas taco—shockingly good. I’m not even a huge carnitas lover, but this one? Soft, seasoned, flavorful. They did it right.
Now, this place is definitely going on the list of spots for legit Mexican-style tacos. I’m picky, especially with meat, and if you know me, you know I check my tacos before I even take a bite. I literally scan for fat and gristly pieces, and I can tell you—besides the al pastor, which wasn’t my favorite and had a few of those fatty bites—the rest was super clean. Minimal fat, nice texture, and you can see in the photos: my plates are basically empty except for those tiny bits. That says something.
So why not a 5 out of 5? Because while it was delicious and totally hit the spot....it wasn’t mind-blowing. I reserve that 5-star status for the spots that leave me shook! Regardless, this place is very good and I recommend it! I’d definitely come back and think of this place next time I’m craving tacos."
"Tacos La Villa is our new favorite place! Birria tacos are the best, but carnitas, asada, pollo are all really good too. And the chips? Oh heck yeah, they're fresh and crispy/crunchy but not greasy. Salted just right to go great with their salsas and guac.

"First time trying this place and WoW it was Really Delicious the V1. Grilled meat, Shrimp, and egg roll was Tasty came with a Good portion of Chicken and Shrimp, The House special was amazing too. "You can never go wrong with plate #2 or #6, they are both delicious. Plates come packed with food, lucky star never disappoints. The only Chinese food place that I'll order from here in Tulare."
"The food at Lucky Star was amazing and delicious as it ever was and the Fried Shrimp (8), Egg Flower Soup and bbq Sliced BBQ Pork were delicious appetizers to our sweet and sour pork with fried rice and pork chow mien as well as the orange chicken with pork fried rice and chow mien that made for a great dinner with our family. The Mandarin Chicken Plate was spicy with a kick that different from other places mandarin chicken, it was 3 meals that fed 4 people and 3 dogs lol I think we could have fed 6 people with how much food they give you here! We have never been disappointed with Lucky Star Restaurant, we used to order it once a week, but a new truck payment knocked it down to a few times a month, but trust...it's definitely worth being your place for Chinese cuisine, always hot and fresh, delicious no matter what you order. As with everything and everywhere else, the prices have gone up here and there, but they seem to have added more to the plates and bigger takeout containers to boot. A lot of places actually give less when you get takeout, not with Lucky Star though!

The gravy was too thin and weak… And the egg patties were just OK. Nothing special at all. I gave it a C minus when it comes to egg foo yong. Plus they didn't give me enough soy sauce. One little packet of soy sauce as you can see in the photo? Are you kidding me? I need five or six. Pretty weak overall for 25 bucks. I won't be going back here again."

"Ordered at 7:30 AM and the donuts were fresh and tasty. The donuts are a bit overpriced though for the quality, only reason why I take a star off. I asked for less ice but my drink had the same amount of ice as the second drink that had regular ice. There were no napkins. The sausage, egg and cheese croissant and Bacon, Egg and Cheese bagel were good. Hash Browns are always kind of soggy. I wish they were crispier. MUNCHKINS® Donut Hole Treats are very dry."
