"Disappointed: bland & lacking flavor balance
Drunken Noodles had little flavor. Vegetables were mostly uncooked and very difficult to chew, which I guess is a creative choice. As well, cuts of mushrooms that were impossible to chew, quite disappointing.
I ordered spring rolls from the vegetarian menu selection and I got pork and shrimp rolls :/ So those were inedible.
The Thai iced tea was 1) small for 7.75, not good value for TEA! 2) even tasted watered down, barely any cream at the bottom to mix in with the tea. Super disappointing.
The mango sticky rice was ok. Rice was mostly flavorless. The sauce was super sweet, no salty balance. The mango was also not very good. Sweet but not the sour balance. It was not a good texture either. Usually a restaurant will not serve mango sticky rice if the mangos are not juicy and ripe. This one was not ideal.
All in all I would neither order from Doi Moi, nor visit them in person, again."

"I love ramen, so I felt compelled to try this new place when it became an option for delivery to my address. Sadly, the highly positive reviews of this place seem to reflect the enthusiasm and inexperience of college students more than the caliber of the food, which was solidly mediocre. Both the ramen and hibachi were extremely oversalted, to the point of being hard to eat. The tonkatsu ramen broth totally lacked the cravable ramen umami depth and silky mouthfeel which is only obtained when it is slowly simmered long enough to extract collagen from bones. The shoyu tare has an unpleasant metallic tang, a really common shoyu fault. If you try this place, I would recommend ordering a different flavor, since miso and salt tares tend to be more foolproof. The noodles and soft-boiled egg were also a bit overcooked--the restaurant should consider adjusting for how the hot food will continue to cook for . I hate to give a bad review to a place that seems to have nice people trying their best, but I doubt they are in danger of going out of business. I will say that the on the positive side, the ingredients all seemed fresh, the hibachi portion size was generous, and presentation even in delivery packaging looked quite nice."

"I am in love with their Mini Kimbap but there is something that I would strongly recommend. It's their Sujebi Jjamppong. O. M. G. The BEST jjampong I've ever had! I have a GJ tube so I am getting fed through my tube but recently, my doctor said "eat by mouth and eat WHATEVER YOU WANT". I always craved for kimbap and spicy jjamppong so I quickly ordered those. "Absolutely delicious! We like other Peter Chang-owned restaurants and this one is great, too! The Homestyle Stir-Fried Pork Belly was amazing - tender, beautifully spiced and a generous portion. "The original Bar Chinois in DC is my favorite takeout in DC. I didn't even know they added a new VA location until I saw where my order was being picked up from. I was excited to see they'd expandedbecaise sometimes during peak hours they don't accept delivery orders. Well, unfortunately the food I got tonight wasn't nearly as good. I got my usual Garlic Chives Gao and 1970's Garlic Noodles. The Gao are weirdly textured on the outside and gluey on the inside. Not the incredibly textured cubes from the OG. The noodles were more normal, but again don't have that sandy/cheesy texture I have grown to love. I will not order from this location again. Real bummer."
