"Great portion size of the 16 oz Chicken Biryani! I got a meal for like the entire week out of this. It was delicious and still hot when I got it and the Mango Lassi was also delicious and smooth. The Samosa Chaat was also very tasty and great with crackers! Will order again again!"
"Best lamb biriyani I've had in the U.S.---perfect level of spice, balanced flavors, plenty of tender chunks of lamb. Samosas are crispy. Mint lemonade and chai are both lovely. This is my new favorite DC comfort food takeout."

"The Fish Kolivada was a flavorful, spiced but not hot, white fish. you can taste the coriander (so good). There were two green sauces. No idea what they were, but they were complimentary. one was thin and sweet and one was like applesauce but taste like apple and tamarind. whatever it was, it was good. The Peshwari Naan was nice. slightly sweet like lightly brown sugared with raisins. The Cheese Naan taste like fresh garlic and cheese. it was ok. TheOnion Kulcha was good, too. If I hadn't had the other two breads, the Cheese Naan would've taste better. The others outshine it. The Mango Lassi came in and adorable milk bottle. Delicious! I'd want this and Peshwari Naan for breakfast and I don't usually like lots of sweets!"
"I absolutely love their Butter Chicken! It has amazing flavor and isn't too spicy. Every time I order from the spot my taste buds do a happy dance. The portions size it good too, they give you as much as you pay for. I would definitely order again, and if it's ur first time, I 100% recommend"

"This is as close to actual Indian food as you can get in DC. Everything was great. The kadhai mutton was as good as I've had in India. The chicken 65 was a bit more sour than I expected but five stars nonetheless. The kulcha is surprisingly large and soft, and goes well with the curry. Would order again."

"The Chana masala is absolutely to die for. So filling and bursting with flavor, mixed with their rice it is the perfect meal. The veggie samosas are flaky and crunchy and still somehow melt in your mouth, 10/10. If youre a fan of spice you can't go wrong doing the samosas with their green sauce they include. "

"A loyal customer of Taj of India for a decade now, this is the only Indian restaurant I'll order from and my go-to when I need a pick me up, when I want to celebrate something, or when I just want to treat myself. The Lamb Roganjosh is so warm and flavorful, and it literally melts in your mouth. Even the rice it comes with is fragrant and tasty on its own. The butter chicken and the tikka masala are also part of my regular rotation. The Garlic Naan is perfect by itself or dragged through sauce, and the cheese naan is just as good. I also love getting a side order of the Daal Soup and adding the Rice Kheer my cart right before I check out because I can never resist it --- perfectly creamy for dessert but not too sweet, which is exactly what I like. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant!"

"This consistently is the BEST chicken tikka masala - and garlic naan - in DC!"
"Spinach Chat was as amazing as other reviews suggested - tamrind goodness, what a special dish. Garlic Naan wasnt as soft/pillowy as I've grown to expect, but good vehicle for other flavors. Jhol (Soup) Mo:Mo [No Gluten-Free] was pretty good, I ended up liking the dough and the filling separately - clearly well crafted though, and I just eat weird. Side sauce did not have much flavor and soup base was not addicting as I like soups to be. Definitely fresh and I would make someone go in just to share the Spinach Chat with me, so they could experience it!"

"Absolutely delicious packed to perfection for delivery!! We ordered Garlic Naan Butter Chicken Daal Makhni and basmati rice came with it!!"
"The food is flavorful with the right amount of spice—especially for me. When mixed with the rice, it balances out just right. I’m from Texas, and I will say it is seasoned and spicy to my liking as well. The food doesn’t seem like a lot at first, but it is definitely filling. I actually bought this once before maybe a week ago but forgot to upload the picture, so I’ll upload it with this one. The older one is the picture with the cut-up naan, and today’s meal is the picture with the whole naan. Although it’s cut up in the older photo, I do believe the naan added up to a whole piece. The naan is very garlicky (aromatic)and flavorful—definitely homemade, which makes it worth the price!"

"Food was delicious as usual! 17. Buss Up Skin was flaky and light, 18. Dhal Puri was flavorful and the 1. Doubles were great. "
"My wife is Trini and so my in-laws are first generation Trinidadian immigrants who make some of the best Trini dishes I've ever had. So you can get imagine my excitement to learn that a restaurant serving authentic Trini food had returned to the area. My wife used to eat here when it was the original Teddy's and was also excited to have some good old home food. But I was extremely disappointed when I opened the container to see very small portions of oxtails and rice. The meat was tough and the sauce was very oily. Next I tried the doubles. The Chana had a very tasty sauce however they were a bit undercooked and hard. Not at all tender or creamy as I had expected. The curry chicken was lost in the sauce . Finally I got to the main event, the shark & 2. Fried Bake and Shark. It was dry and resembled minced shark not the filet that I was hoping to find. And lastly the bake itself was too hard and chewy. Overall I have to give it a 3 out of 5 forks, a hard pass but I would give Teddy's a second chance. Maybe it was just a one off and not typical of their quality. But the prices were very expensive considering the portion sizes. The meat dishes need more meat to be a decent value. Ultimately good flavors but mediocre presentation and preparation. Ps. I didn't even get my 1. Sorrel. Bummer."

"Possibly the best tasting food I've ever had- not "Indian" food, food. That said the portion size relative to the cost is appallingly small. I got a Kathi roll ($14) and cauliflower pakoras ($12) for a total of $26 before taxes and fees. I've had amazing kathi rolls in NYC and Philly for $6-$7, so I just assumed these would be bigger since they're twice the price and those cities are comparable to the DC food scene. The one I had from Bindaas turned out to be even smaller. I personally don't have a problem paying more for food in a restaurant when there's service being provided and you have the ability to easily order more. But I'm still hungry after spending $26 on a takeout order when I usually don't even spend half as much. "
"I was surprised at how good this meal was! The dal makhani was more flavorful and had more of a spice kick than I am used to for this dish, but it really added something to the food beyond lentil and cream. The basmati rice was fragrant and well cooked. Will order again!"

"this restaurant has, quite frankly, the best Butter Chicken I've ever had. the Palak Paneer is good as well, but the butter chicken is beyond good. they give you a really solid amount of food for the price as well: spending ~$45 has gotten me easily 3-4 days of food for myself, which is well worth the price imo"
"Ordered here for the first time bc our usual go-to Indian place has been inconsistent lately. The Butter Chicken was on the sweet side, but my family still enjoyed it. The chicken wasn't as tender as some other places though. The Lamb Rogan Josh was mild in flavor but very tender. The Tandoori Chicken was a huge serving but was again not the juiciest tandori I've had. The Palak Paneer was good. Large portion. Lots of cheese. Good flavor. The Chicken Cheese Naan was delicious. First time we've ever had that. The nans were good too. Nice and fluffy. The MoMo Chicken dumplings were delicious but fiery! We weren't expecting that since the description didn't mention anything about it being spicy. The Mango Lassi was yummy, but the color is very bright orange and off putting. Looks like way too much food coloring. Overall, we'd order from here again."

"Best Lamb Chops in the area by far. Well seasoned and charred to perfection. I will definitely order again. only thing I would suggest is to add to the description that it comes with channa and a very small salad with no dressing."
"I normally don't rate resturants but I have to do it for this one. The meat is very dry, no flavor seems old, and the rice is not fresh. I don't recommend it, you can get better value and quality for this price, this is not Kobob. I will not order again"
