My Salvadoran girlfriend was disappointed with the incorrect cheese used, which made the Pupusas not traditional. The curtido was also way too spicy for her liking, and traditionally, it is mild. The salsa verde was also way too spicy, and there was way too little meat for the price. The Pupusas had more tortilla than anything else, and it tasted more like an Arepa than a Pupusa. I agree with everything she says because she has taken me to eat legitimate Pupusas in the past.
