"Jacob's is expensive, but worth the occasional splurge! Their food is excellent. Everything was thoughtfully well-packaged, such as the Grilled Salmon Salad with the fish packed separately from the salad to preserve freshness and crispness of the greens. The Bruschetta was fresh and delicious, my only quibble being that they were a little chintzy with the basil. It could have used slightly more. My husband loved his Fried Chicken Sandwich as well. And they honored my special request (low oil, with dressing on the side). Yummy!"
"Most of the meal was very good, but the Grilled Salmon was very undercooked - very pale pink, no grill marks, not browned even a little bit, almost raw in parts of the inside. I had to give most of it to our dogs. And my husband's Caesar salad was packed inside the container with his hot entrée, instead of separately, so it was warm and wilted instead of crisp and chilled.
But the remaining items were really delicious, especially the Swedish potato side. DoorDash refunded the entire salmon entrée, which I appreciated.
I've ordered salmon a few times from Jacob's, and the quality has been pretty uneven. I think to be safe, you need to place a request in the comment box if you want it browned on top and cooked thoroughly inside. "
